Washington state is known for its incredible freshwater fishing opportunities, and the small city of Chehalis has direct access to the plentiful Chehalis River and its winding waterways. Who better to introduce you to these fishing hotspots than a man who’s locally known as “Washington’s Premier Fishing Guide?” For an angling adventure you’ll remember for years to come, join Captain Chuck Wicken with Chuck’s Outdoor Adventures!

Capt. Chuck is a local freshwater fishing fanatic with over 25 years of experience under his belt, so it’s fair to say he knows these waters like the back of his hand. He prides himself on knowing where the fish are, and how to catch them. Chehalis River is brimming with world-famous species such as Coho, Chinook, and Pink Salmon, Steelhead, and prehistoric Sturgeon. Capt. Chuck will help you finesse your skills to hook a prize catch.

You’ll be fishing from his 22’ Alumaweld jet boat, custom-made and specifically designed for Steelhead fishing. She can accommodate up to 5 guests and Capt. Chuck welcomes anglers age 10 and above on board. Feel free to bring along any budding anglers and make this a family bonding trip you won’t forget! Your vessel is decked out with top-quality rods and reels, and Capt. Chuck will provide artificial bait for you, too.

When it comes to hooking your Sturgeon, Steelhead, or Salmon, you’ll mainly be drift fishing the river using light tackle. All of these species grow to seriously impressive sizes here, so you’ll be in for an exciting fight at the end of your line no matter what you hook. You’ll have something to look forward to when you’ve reeled in your catch, too – Capt. Chuck will happily clean and fillet your fish for you, so you can take home some tasty table fare.

Rods and reels are provided and Capt. Chuck recommends bringing rain gear along – it is Washington, after all! All that’s left is to grab a fishing license and join Chucks Outdoor Adventures for an unforgettable day on the water.
