Long Shot Charters – F/V Long Shot

With local and experienced guides by your side, Long Shot Charters will lead you to some of the most productive fishing grounds in the world! Captain Joe will make sure you have a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable ride from the moment you step on board to when it’s time to go home.
You’ll set off from the coast of Panama City Beach in the captain’s 41’ Infiniti saltwater sportfisher. You’ll reach some of the best fisheries in no time with its twin 325 HP Caterpillar engines and top-of-the-line navigational equipment. She also comes with a flybridge so you can spot your target even quicker, giving you a greater advantage over the fish. You’ll also have AC, bunk beds for napping, a clean restroom, and lots of space, providing maximum comfort.
You’ll be provided with top-quality Penn and Shimano gear, as well as live bait and lures. You’ll be doing a lot of fishing though, so Capt. Joe recommends buying extra live bait before each trip so you don’t run out.
You’ll target a range of amazing species while you bottom fish over incredible reefs and underwater structures. The trolling trips are targeting King and Spanish Mackerel, Bonito, and occasionally yield Mahi Mahi.

6 Hour Bottom Fishing (AM)
Premium Trip
Captian Joe and Dusty were both helpful and knowledgeable. We got the safety run down and headed out to the beautiful glGulf of America. Dusty was very clear on instructions on how we should be fishing. We got to our spot and got on fish immediately, then the sharks showed up. Captian took us to another spot and got us going right along again. Dusty helped our less experienced fisherwomen get hooked up and catch fish. We took my 5 month old son and had no issues, the boat had great AC. Overall great affordable trip that I would recommend to anyone and will be booking again myself!

6 Hour Summer Bottom Fishing Midday
Long Shot is the BEST!!!
This was our 3rd charter with Long Shot! This time we brought my Daddy to celebrate his 75th birthday. Joe did a great job putting us on the fish! Although we battled the sharks & dolphins for our catch, Dusty worked hard to help us! We caught some great fish, including several species of Snapper. Both guys did a phenomenal job and we couldn’t be more pleased. Plus, they’re both very personable and approachable. We enjoyed our day & are thankful for another great fishing experience! I wholeheartedly recommend Long Shot for your next charter! We won’t use anyone else!

Fantastic Fishing Charter!
You can’t fake passion, enthusiasm, and skill! We’ve booked The Long Shot multiple times because of Dusty and Captian Joe. These guys love fishing and they know how to do it! Whether you go out for Red Snapper in July, or trolling for Spanish Mackerel in March you’ll have a great time and most likely catch plenty of fish…that’s been our experience every time we’ve been out fishing with them. I can’t recommend these guys strongly enough. Don’t hesitate book your trip and have great day charter fishing!

Great Trip!! Awesome couple of guys!
Went out for an 8hr trip with the family, Captain Joe and Deck hand Dusty were everything you could hope for in a crew. We told Capt. Joe we wanted a limit of Red Snapper and he put us on them. The first spot we fished we had our limits in 20 minutes with a nice King mackerel to boot, the rest of the day was no different. We filled the freezer and had a blast, Dusty kept the bait in the water and had a great attitude throughout the day.

Great day. AWESOME crew!!
Capt Joe and Dusty were nothing short of outstanding! Professional, nice, talkative, funny and put us on fish! First deep sea trip for nephews 15 & 14. They had a blast! Booked a 6 hour am trip. Hooked a 67” / 54 lbs Wahoo on way out to red snapper areas. Took all of us to get it in. Then caught our limit of Reds and lots of Vermillion snapper. HIGHLY recommend Long Shot Charters for a great time on the water. Thank you Joe and Dusty for a great time!
