It's time to escape the hustle and bustle of city life and get back to nature. Book a trip with Elsie K Charters today and enjoy spending the day fishing with Captain Gabe Graham. Captain Gabe has nearly 3 decades of fishing experience and many fishing tournament trophies under his belt. You'll be in safe and capable hands fishing with him.
There is space for 6 anglers on board to fish comfortably, as well as an enclosed cabin to protect you from the elements. There is seating for the ride out – you're sure to be too excited to be sitting for long once the action starts. This combines to make this boat great for everyone – kids, beginners, and experienced anglers alike will love this boat.
Between July and September, you can catch your fill of Salmon, including Steelhead, Chinook, and Coho. When you reach your limits, the captain will direct you to fish for Lake Trout, and Brown Trout. Capt. Gabe will fillet your catch for you, ready for you to decide how to cook!
Kids of any age are welcome on board and will have life vests provided for them. They'll love being able to catch their own dinner! Capt. Gabe is a patient teacher and will have the kids catching fish in no time.
The rods and reels are included in the price of the trip. You must buy a fishing license before the day, which can be signed on the day of the trip. You'll also need to bring along your own food and drink for the day. Light alcohol, such as beer, is fine, but should be in cans only.
It's best to wear light layers of clothes, ready for whatever the weather throws at you.

The charter operation canceled -1 days after the trip date.
We had some rough weather, but it didn’t stop us from having an amazing trip. Our son caught his very first King Salmon, which made the day unforgettable. Captain Gabe and Nick were outstanding—knowledgeable, patient, and worked hard to keep us on fish despite the conditions. We ended up having a great time and creating memories that will last a lifetime. 10/10 experience, and we’ll definitely be booking another trip this fall. Highly recommend!
If you're looking for the most memorable fishing trip, book one with Elsie K Charters. Cpt. Gabe is awesome with over 30 years of experience. We limited out on Lake Trout, caught 5 Kings and 1 Coho; which was the first of the season! I would HIGHLY recommend fishing with Cpt. Gabe and will do so again for any future trips. Thank you for making my son's 22nd Birthday perfect!!
Captain Gabe took me, my wife, and two kids out (9 and 6). What an awesome experience. When the salmon cooled down and were not cooperating he quickly switched to trout and we were at our limit in no time. He clearly knows what he is doing, was great with the kids, and has a nice and spacious boat. Would highly recommend. We will be booking again!
Captain Gabe is a man of few words, which is honestly perfect for an early morning start! I’ve taken several fishing charters and boats out of various towns along Lake Michigan, and so many other captains and first mates talk too much - Gabe just focuses on the job. This was our first time out of Manistee and our first time fishing with a one-man crew. Captain Gabe is incredibly knowledgeable and works exceptionally hard. Even with wildfire smoke affecting the conditions, he gave 100% to get us close to our limit (14 of 15), bringing in mostly salmon along with three Lake Trout. While we lost a few fish right at the initial hit, Gabe made sure we didn't lose a single one once they got closer to the boat. We may have just found our new favorite port and boat captain!
