Elsie K Charters – Lake Michigan 

We was able to book captain Gabe on his last trip of the season. If I was the captain, i would have wanted to make it a quick trip and get back to start getting things cleaned up, packed up and be done. But not captain Gabe, he told us from the start as we were waiting for the fog to rise that he was in no hurry and would stay as long as we wanted to get us a limit of good fish , and that is exactly what he did. It was a great day on the water with a good limit of fish, but better than that, we made a friend that will last longer than a fishing trip. My wife and I highly recommend Captain Gabe if you’re looking for someone who will do his best to make it a great day for you. You won’t be disappointed!! We had some rough weather, but it didn’t stop us from having an amazing trip. Our son caught his very first King Salmon, which made the day unforgettable. Captain Gabe and Nick were outstanding—knowledgeable, patient, and worked hard to keep us on fish despite the conditions. We ended up having a great time and creating memories that will last a lifetime. 10/10 experience, and we’ll definitely be booking another trip this fall. Highly recommend!

We limited out on Lake Trout, caught 5 Kings and 1 Coho; which was the first of the season! I would HIGHLY recommend fishing with Cpt. Gabe and will do so again for any future trips. We caught 28 beautiful healthy salmon. Captain Gabe worked so hard to make sure we had a successful and fun trip. We fish with him every year because he is great at what he does!!

Capt Gabe put us on the fish, was patient with the kids, and made sure everyone had fun. He fileted all the fish after and packed them in our cooler. Could not recommend this charter any more for someone with a family/kids/anyone. Great time! Would book again in the future. Bring a cooler, sun screen, and make memories!

Captain Gabe is a man of few words, which is honestly perfect for an early morning start! I’ve taken several fishing charters and boats out of various towns along Lake Michigan, and so many other captains and first mates talk too much - Gabe just focuses on the job. This was our first time out of Manistee and our first time fishing with a one-man crew. Captain Gabe is incredibly knowledgeable and works exceptionally hard. Even with wildfire smoke affecting the conditions, he gave 100% to get us close to our limit (14 of 15), bringing in mostly salmon along with three Lake Trout. While we lost a few fish right at the initial hit, Gabe made sure we didn't lose a single one once they got closer to the boat. We may have just found our new favorite port and boat captain!

This was our family's second time using Elsie K Charters with captain Gabe. We we enjoyed the morning and caught our limits quickly and all meat was fileted and bagged for us. You cannot get this kind of Charter at this price anywhere else. I highly suggest, these guys know what their doing!

second year going with Captain Gabe. Been on charters and this guy is one you want. He’s passionate about fishing and you will have a ball. book early because hes not going to have room for long. We got 4 man limit in the morning. Gabe will get you on fish and hes got great equipment and boat.

Captain Gabe worked extremely hard to get us fish in the boat. He never slowed down the entire trip. 1 bite the first 3 hours, then boom! 18 kings and one laker the next 3 hours. I would definitely recommend ElsieK charters and Captain Gabe.
