Edgardo has been running Tours Sierpe CR since 2017 and has years of experience in the area. With your local captain on board, you can maneuver the difficult mouth of the river. On the day of your trip, Edgardo will be his first companion on board.
The day will be spent on a 26' Mako center console. The boat offers great maneuverability, so you can follow your fish around the boat once caught. There is a T-top for some shade, and 2 refrigerators on board: one for the catch, and one for the snacks you should bring along.
You can choose to fish in the wetlands of Sierpe, the mouth of the Sierpe River or in the crystalline salt waters of the Pacific Ocean. Even beginners can fish the ocean, as you'll head out a maximum of 14 miles from shore.
The species that you can capture vary according to the trip you choose. On the river trips, you can target species such as Mangrove Snapper, Corvina, Snook, Goliath Grouper, Catfish, Tarpon, plus more. Towards the coast, you will find the powerful Roosterfish, Yellowfin Tuna, Spanish Mackerel, Barracuda, Almaco Jack, Grouper, Wahoo, Mahi Mahi, and more!
The price includes high-quality rods and reels from Penn, Daiwa, and Shimano. When live bait is used, this will also be included in the trip price. Sometimes this is defined before the trip, sometimes during, it depends entirely on the season. Drinks are also provided. You can bring along extra snacks, which can go inside the captain's refrigerator.
You should wear light layers, with a long-sleeved t-shirt, deck shoes, and a hat. Don't forget your sunscreen!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We were absolutely delighted with our fishing trip! The crew was fantastic – highly experienced, extremely committed and very well prepared. The boat was in great condition, and they had all the equipment needed for different fishing techniques, from jigging and trolling to casting. They really put in a lot of effort throughout the entire trip, trying different spots and techniques. We caught yellowfin tuna, jack, barracuda, red snapper and several other species. The whole experience was special, starting with the beautiful boat ride down the river and out into the ocean. Great fishing, beautiful scenery and a fantastic crew. We have done several fishing trips in Costa Rica, and this was definitely one of the best and most memorable ones. We were extremely happy with the whole experience and would absolutely recommend it!
My wife, daughters and I had a great time! Looking foward to the next trip we can take. Captain and crew member worked hard to find fish and help everyone learn there fishing techniques. Saw several turtles and porpoises as a bonus!
Sind nicht die komfortabelsten Boote aber ausreichend. Crew kennt sich gut aus mit Spots und equipment.Anfangsfahrt über den Fluss durch weite Flussarme mit Mangroven ist auch sehr beeindruckend. würde ich wiedermachen.
amazing charter. we started out in the river and went 20+ miles offshore. athe captain and crew were very nice, and we caught the fish of a lifetime, 150+lbs yellowfin tuna!
