Capt. Ken is eager to show you what it's all about! He invites you on his brand new 25' Tidewater bay boat, powered by a 300 HP Yamaha engine, reaching some of the best fishing spots that Pine Island and Charlote Harbor have to offer. The boat comes with a Minn Kota trolling motor, allowing you to approach unsuspecting inshore species quietly and discreetly.
Top-of-the-range gear is supplied on board as well, including a Dual Power-Pole anchoring system, Simrad electronics, and 13 Fishing rods and reels. There is also plenty of dry storage for all your personal items and you'll have a cooler for your snacks and drinks. The boat accommodates up to 6 guests, everyone can fish at the same time, and kids of all ages are welcome!
Capt. Ken will take you fishing after some of the most sought-after inshore species of western Florida. This includes Tarpon, Snook, Redfish, Speckled Trout, and more. You'll also have the opportunity to target various Shark species, Goliath Grouper, Mangrove Snapper, Flounder, Spanish Mackerel, Sheepshead, Black Drum, Tripletail, and Jack Crevalle.
Capt. Ken specializes in fly fishing as well. If you'd like to give it a go, bring or rent your own gear and he'll take you to some of the most productive backcountry flats along the coast.
You'll use live bait and artificial lures to attract all these target species and more, depending on the conditions and your preferences. What an amazing day out on the water with Captain Ken Mercer. He knows where the bait is to put you in good position to get a early start on catching the big ones. He has all the tricks to get the snook, redfish, and trout bite. He also can put you on some other amazing species! Very fun Captain good with kids. The boat was amazing grade equipment setup for all types of fishing very comfortable ride and safe. I'm already planning my second trip with Ken! ps. the picture is of my personal best redfish 31 in.

Being local, I normally I fish shoreline and by kayak, but one day i thought I'd treat myself to a charter. Called up Captain Ken, booked a charter and he put me on fish immediately. SUPER clean boat, fresh bait, new tackle. Not only did I catch my personal best snook, but also my personal best tripletail! Don't hesitate to book with Captain Ken, well worth it! I will be booking again 100%. AAA all around experience.

Some guides help you catch a lot of fish. Some guides are fun to fish with and be out on the water with all day. Some have really nice boats, tackle and equipment. It can be hard to find one that has it all though. Ken is one of those guys. Really had a great time catching snook, redfish, trout and tarpon! Highly recommend for a great day of catching.
