Fly Fishing Michigan Rivers
I offer guiding services on the Pere Marquette River and Upper Manistee River where I fish for Brown Trout, Rainbow Trout, and Brook Trout. I also am a fishing guide on the Upper Muskegon River where I target Smallmouth Bass, Brown Trout, Rainbow Trout, and Northern Pike. My favorite fishing techniques for Steelhead on Pere Marquette River and White River are spin tackle or stripped streamers.
I do not target spawning fish, snag or practice the 'chuck 'n' duck' method as it is not fishing nor fly fishing.
I specialize in ethical fly fishing techniques such as dry fly, nymphing, stripping streamers, swinging streamers, and nighttime mousing.
I love kids and kids, for the most part, love me! If you take a few minutes to look at my social media pages, it's filled with photos of previous trips where kids had a great time. My trips are designed to be kid-friendly fishing trips with plenty of patience and flexibility in mind. I'm all about family-friendly fishing trips because I love helping make the father/mother and child experience a memorable one.
If you're searching for an ethical fly fishing guide on Manistee River, Muskegon River, Pere Marquette River, or even White River, give me a try. I run Fly Fishing Michigan Rivers Guide Service in the area and include everything you might be looking for on a fishing trip in Michigan.
Again, I don't fish towards spawning fish, snag, or practice the 'chuck 'n' duck' fishing techniques.

Good fishing nice trip down the river. Definitely would recommend.

Thanks for putting up with me! It was a good time

Guide was really not into the fishing. I fished that same run later that week with another guide and caught 10 times the fish. The technique was not like it should of been so the flies were not getting down to the bottom. I used other guides that week and have huge success with them. Was not really impressed with captain nick. Would not use him again
Hey Thanks. I advised you several times that we do not snag fish nor fish to spawning fish including several opportunities to find someone else as well having a very blunt phone conversation about the subject. I’m glad you guys had success snagging half dead fish the rest of your trip. Check out Seasons on The Fly. They were doing the same as well. You’re welcome to come back and try when steelhead fishing actually occurs in the fall. Team Stealthcraft for the win on non fly fishing techniques and selling the lie again. I’ve been here before and will be here long after they are all gone. Good luck with your endeavors! “Guides” none of them are. Ask them what fishing is like outside of April and September, they won’t have a clue what you’re talking about, much like you don’t seem to have with what you are talking about. Shame on anyone that’s “fishing” Steelhead in April in Michigan, or in March even for that matter. When your “guide” tells you that you need more weight in fly fishing, maybe you should question why your even fly fishing.
