Captain Brian Godwin is a 100-Ton USCG licensed captain with experience as a Coast Guard, commercial fisherman, and charter operator. He and his crew are exactly the experts you'd want when heading into battle against some of the strongest offshore species.
You'll head out on a 25' Southern Cross center console, built for long, offshore expeditions. She's outfitted with state-of-the-art navigational and fishfinding technology to bring you to some of the best fishing spots on the coast. Her deck is spacious, accommodating up to 4 guests per trip, and everyone can fish at the same time.
Capt. Brian is an expert at bottom fishing and knows where all the bottom species are feeding. You'll be fishing above wrecks and reefs, targeting various Grouper and Snapper species, as well as Triggerfish and other delicious bottom-dwellers.
He goes anywhere from 5–18 miles offshore, depending on what you're targeting. The further you go, the more likely you'll catch pelagics such as Mahi Mahi and Kingfish. Other targets include migratory coastal species, such as Cobia. Your options are endless and you'll have plenty of opportunities to target all of these plus more!
You'll use top-quality Penn and Star tackle, as well as high-performance lures and live bait. For max capacity trips (6 guests), you'll have a first mate on board to assist you with anything you need. Your fishing license is included, and you'll also have your catch cleaned and filleted for free.

Rather you are looking for that delicate white fish or a shark, you'll find it with Savage! We had a family of 6 and everyone was very accommodating. Everyone caught fish, even a shark. I would fish with Savage again!
The captain was cool. We caught a good amount of fish and he knew a lot of the good spots to find them. We kept what we caught and they filleted the fish in front of us. Our group had fun, would totally recommend.

Captain Brian Godwin is a Florida native and Fort Pierce local. He's been fishing in Florida his whole life, from the Treasure Coast to the Keys. He's a former commercial fisherman and has over 20 years combined experience as a US Coast Guard and 100-Ton USCG licensed captain. Capt. Brian has been running fishing charters and party boats for about 7 years until he finally decided to start his own business. Today, he enjoys taking customers fishing and helping them land the fish of their dreams. Capt.
