Capt. Mario will meet you in Caleta Harbor, where you'll aboard his 26' Imensa boat. This center console accommodates up to 4 guests and there's enough room for all of them to fish at the same time. She's powered by twin 120 HP Yamaha engines, ensuring you'll have a smooth ride. The boat features navigational and safety equipment, outriggers, downriggers, and a cooler for your drinks.
Reef fishing trips will take you after Snapper, Barracuda, Amberjack, Bonito, and Mackerel. These trips are great if you don't have a lot of fishing experience, as your targets are less aggressive. Captain Mario and his first mate Chuey was amazing. Had family of four (two teenagers) and we've fished fresh water but never salt before. Did a reef fishing for two hours and then snorkeling. Our cruise ship didn't come in until 8:30am but Mario was flexible to start at 9am for us. Quick taxi and he met us at the marina (easy to find and get to). We had a quick instructions and then off to the fishing spot. Within minutes we were on fish and were having a great time! Overall caught seven fish (one threw back). The fish were all cleaned and then the captain dropped us off at the pier next to the restaurant. We brought the fish to the chef and they made ceviche and grilled fish for us. Was amazing! Highly recommend and when we go back to Cozumel will definitely be booking again!
Mario Emilio with Abrimar Boat Company was amazing. My wife and I had an unforgettable trip with him. He knew exactly where to take us, made everything easy, and gave us a great experience from start to finish. My wife caught a barracuda and I caught a mahi mahi, which made the day even better. We've fished out of miami several times w professional crews & thoroughly enjoyed our fishing experience...capt & crew were extremely friendly & were so nice to my grandsons We caught 17 fish & they were fileted too...the kids slept on the way in...and we excited all day about their adventures on the boat ride & from the reef fishing spots Very impressed...see u next time we visit this side of peninsula...we live on the other side of Yucatan...son & grandsons in BC Canada.
Mario and Chuy were great! we were able to get multiple Mahi-mahi on, but weren't able to bring them in. That's fishing sometimes. But the weather was great. The boat is good for a smaller group (3-4 people). We are looking forward to coming back to try again!
Went to deep sea fishing mario and the crew were professional and had a lot fun. Caought a big maui maui and then went to more shallow water and caought more fishes. They arranged drinks and snacks for us and even helped us prepare the fishes for later.
