Experience fly fishing paradise in the surrounds of Fiordland National Park with Chris Reygaert at Fiordland Fishing Guide. Regarded as one of the world's best fishing destinations, these waters are also in the heart of incredible, untouched nature. Marvel at the amazing scenery as you make your way to the fishing destination, before rigging up the fly rods and testing your skills on the willy brown and rainbow trout that abound.

Chris has been a passionate angler all of his life and picked up his first fly fishing rod at a young age. It was his Uncle, president of the local fly fishing club in Gent - Belgium that introduced him to the art of fly fishing. Upon heading back down under, he continued his passion and has gained valuable experience and knowledge chasing fish on fly around mainland Australia, Tasmania and now New Zealand. Since arriving in New Zealand Chris has spent every single waking minute exploring and getting to grips with this complex but incredibly rewarding fishery.

Head out with Chris on a half day trip either in the morning or afternoon to fine-tune your skill set or if you're a newbie use his experience to introduce you to the art of fly fishing. On a full-day trip let Chris show you around his fly fishing playground and immerse yourself in the Wilds of Fiordland. The scenery and the water quality has to be seen to be believed and the opportunity to spot and stalk large trout is just a bonus.

Fly fishing is the name of the game here. Feel free to bring your own gear, however, Chris has access to a wide range of gear including rods/reels/waders/boots/flies, etc. Whether you're a seasoned angler wanting to fish some of the world's best waterways, or just want to give it a go Fiordland Fishing Guide has you covered. With his years of experience, Chris will help in whatever way you need. Just grab your New Zealand fishing license and you're good to go. Come and discover some of the best fly fishing opportunities New Zealand has to offer!

A weeks guiding with Chris
Full Day Trip on February 1, 2019

Chris has guided me multiple times now, and I keep returning because of the amazing fishing that he has shown me and the great times we've had. He's taken me to tiny spring creeks, mountain rivers, lakes and hiked into the true backcountry. Chris fine tuned my fly-casting and has helped me present my flies to both Rainbow and Brown Trout. It's always a pleasure fishing with him, not just because of the scenery and the excellent fishing, but also because of the great knowledge that Chris has about everything fly fishing, and we have some great laughs as well. I'd recommend his services to anyone.

Hailing from a long line of fishermen, it was only natural that Chris Reygaert went into the industry too. Fishing in Australia as a boy, he began to develop a passion for the sport, before moving to Belgium. There, his brother runs a fly fishing business, while his uncle is president of the fly fishing club, and so he devloped a penchant for catching fish on the fly. Upon returning to Australia, he continued getting on the water as much as possible, while balancing work, before moving to New Zealand where he fell in love with the Fiordland National Park's rich waters.
