If you're a brand new angler or are traveling with little ones, Capt. Jon runs a range of short, exciting trips that'll introduce you to these waters. He'll also happily show you the ropes and get you set up with your gear. Capt. Jon's newbie-friendly adventures aren't boring, either – he'll have you battling the most notorious species of all, the Shark! With his guidance, even children can try to land one of these beasts.
If you're a more experienced angler, Capt. Jon recommends joining him for a longer trip, where you'll get the chance to head further out onto the Atlantic to target tasty table fare and hard-fighting game fish. Bottom fish seriously deep waters for Grouper, Snapper, Cobia, huge Bluefin Tuna, and plenty more. You can mix this up with some Shark fishing action, too.
On board Capt. Jon's vessel, you'll find top-of-the-line navigational gear, life jackets for all ages, and top-quality rods and reels. Your fishing license will be provided for you and, depending on what you reel in, your captain will also clean and fillet your catch for you.

We had an outstanding day on the water with Captain Jon. There were five of us, and from start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations. The boat was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, making for a great experience before we even dropped a line in the water. Captain Jon worked hard all day to put us on fish. He was upfront that the Spanish mackerel hadn't really arrived yet, but we gave it a shot and managed to catch one. When it became clear the bite wasn't where he wanted it to be, he quickly adjusted the plan and took us shark fishing—and that's when the action really started. We caught several different species of sharks, including two massive 60-inch blacktips that put up incredible fights and made for some unforgettable memories. It was obvious that Jon knew exactly where to go and what to do to keep us on fish. As a bonus, Captain Jon filleted some of the shark for us, and we cooked it back at our Airbnb that evening. It was absolutely delicious and a perfect way to cap off an amazing day. If you're looking for a knowledgeable, hardworking captain who is focused on making sure his guests have a great experience, we highly recommend Captain Jon. We'll definitely be booking another trip with him the next time we're back in Hilton Head!

the trip was a great time overall for my brother and dad. Originally went off shore to attempt trolling without much out there that day unfortunately (thats how fishing goes). The captain mentioned going back closer to shore and go shark fishing instead could be more sucessful and oh man he was right! not long after casting out some lines my brother got hooked onto a nice 5 foot black tip! it was a great fight and plans to be mounted in the future to remember that day! though I didnt catch anything between spending time with brother/dad and my brother snagging that large shark it was more than i could ever ask for!
We just got off our charter today, Captain Jon was great and he brought his dog Tinker along with, too. Tinker is a great first mate, he kept the kids entertained while the fish werent biting. It was a little early in the season still, which I knew prior to getting in the boat, so we went jnto the day not expecting much. After a slow start we got a trout, then about 30 mins later some whiting got under us and we caught a handful of them and then a sting ray got away just as it got to thr surface. Towards the end of the trip, we got a little Bull Shark - absolutely made the kids day! highly recommend, and we will be reaching out to Capt. Jon again next time we’re in the area.

Really enjoyable outing. Relaxed and fun morning; captain Jon was knowledgeable and friendly, coaching us through reeling in the fish and how to handle the lines. Tinker the dog is awesome! Jon was also super responsive to messages. We all had a great time
