Randal Frisbie is a licensed professional fishing guide and local tournament angler who lives on the North Shore of Lake Travis. Randal has been providing guided fishing trips and charter services and fishing several local tournaments and tournament trails since 2012. Whether you're new to fishing and want to learn more about techniques or a seasoned angler wanting to learn the ropes of tournament fishing, Randal can show you how to break down the lake and find fish.

Capt. Randal runs half-day and full-day trips on Lake Austin, Lake Travis, Lake LBJ, and Decker Lake, while fishing on Lake Bastrop and Fayette County Reservoir is for full-day trips only.
Each trip aboard the 20' Nitro Z-20 bass boat is personalized to your desires. Built in 2019, this modern vessel comes fitted with all the latest navigational equipment to get you to the fishing hot spots. Light and agile, she's a boat adept at getting you through even the trickiest of waters. You'll fish spots that no others manage to, thanks to the wireless trolling motor.
Head out at dawn to catch the first bite of the day, or work your way around these scenic lakes during the afternoon and watch the sunset as you cast away. Try bottom fishing, jigging, or use popping corks to attract the bite of exciting and delicious bass.

Full Day Trip on July 30, 2025 • 3 adultsJust moved to Texas and my sons were visiting. Needed a guy day and what better way than to spend it on a lake fishing. Met Randal on Lake Travis with his well-equipped, beautiful boat and hit the water. We cleared around 25 fish in just over a few hours. We wanted a full day trip, and Randal obliged and fought the Texas Summer heat with us. Biting slowed, but that didn't discourage us, or Randal in hunting some spots to keep on going. One of the better day trips with my boys. It's not all about fishing, it's more about time together on the Lake. Thank you sir for providing a great time and experience for us.

Half Day Trip (AM) on September 1, 2023 • 3 adultsCaptain Randall was extremely helpful from scheduling to end of trip. We had a wonderful time highly recommend him. He is very knowledgeable and helpful teaching how to fish. The trip was scheduled as a gift for our nephew who loves to fish. We are not experienced. Captain Randall had enormous patience and would cast my line for me too. My nephew is experienced and said that he had a great time and would use him if he is back in area.

Half Day Trip with Captain Randal
Half Day Trip (AM) on June 11, 2022Today was non-stop action until Captain Randal said it was time to go. We were catching fishing on top water, using swim baits and drop shot fishing today. We caught 3 species of fish including large mouth bass, crappie, & striper! Captain Randal will put you on top of the fish and teach you the proper technique on how to use the different rods and reels and before you know it you’ll be catching them in no time. It was a 🥵 one today but Captain Randal kept us shaded and hydrated the whole time! Me and my friend had a great time and definitely will be booking in the near future.

He was very knowledgeable about the prime locations to fish, different fishing techniques, and the fish species in the lake. We caught about 5 in total, which is better than my running average of about 0 when fishing on my own, so it was a great success! My friend kept the fish for dinner, and I got some nice memories. Captain Randal was very professional and courteous, and he has a great sense of humor. I would recommend this trip to anyone looking to get out and catch a fish - but do be cognizant that fishing in Texas is very seasonal and temperature dependent. Captain Randal was very upfront with us about the bite and kept our expectations healthy. 10/10, would go again!

Where the fish are holding and how to fish them. It was a beautiful day to be out throwing swim baits and finesse rigs… and of course catching bass. Captain Randal was an entertaining host to spend the day and fish with. Highly recommend fishing with him.

Just before our trip, he mentioned he scuba dived in the lake to find some new fishing spots! That’s just one example of his desire to put his clients on fish. We had a great experience! Even though we didn’t catch many fish, that’s just part of fishing during the summer when the bite can be slow. Randal was knowledgeable, friendly, patient, and worked hard to put us on fish. We never felt rushed, and they made the trip enjoyable from start to finish. We learned a lot, enjoyed being out on the water, and would definitely book another trip with them. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a fun and professional fishing experience!

I recently had the pleasure of going on a fishing trip with Captain Randal on Lake Travis and it was truly an unforgettable experience. After developing a passion for fishing with his family and friends, Captain Randal decided to share his enthusiasm with others and began teaching people how to fish. A licensed captain since 2012, he loves to get out on the water at least a few times a day, and running charters is the perfect excuse. He's just as happy taking out groups of experienced anglers looking for that prized catch as he is teaching kids to fish. With many first, second, and third place prizes in the Texas Tournament Zone and Media Bass competitions over the years, he's just the guy to get you filling the boat with Bass!
