Texas Hawgs Bass Fishing Guide Service
Book your next trip with Texas Hawgs and discover why Lake Travis, just outside Austin, is one of Central Texas's premier bass fisheries. Your captain, Bryan Cotter, has guided Central Texas anglers for over 26 years and knows Travis's coves, points, and creek channels inside and out, so you're in experienced hands, whether it's your first cast or your thousandth.
Depending on the season and conditions, you might hook into hard-fighting Largemouth Bass, schooling White Bass, or scrappy Guadalupe Bass, and you never quite know what else will show up. Texas Hawgs specializes in artificial-bait techniques, and we'll match the tackle, light or heavy, to the structure and water we're fishing that day.
Children are welcome, so feel free to make a family day out of it! If you don't have a child-sized life jacket of your own, please let your guide know what sizes are needed. Snacks are permitted onboard, so bring your favorites to keep everyone fueled throughout the trip!
Your trip begins aboard a 22' bass boat with a capacity of 5 passengers. It has all the essentials needed for a great day of fishing. Rods, reels, tackle, and lures are provided.
You need to obtain a local fishing license before the trip if you don't already have one. A license is required for anyone 17 or older. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off-limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.
Some essentials to bring are sunglasses, sunscreen (non-spray), and bottled water. The guide usually has some water on board. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, as long as you avoid hard liquor and glass bottles.
Give yourself something to look forward to and book a trip with Texas Hawgs!

Captain Bryan is an awesome guide. We spent a full day on Lake Austin and caught over a dozen large mouth bass. He was very patient with the kiddos; let them sreer and had them casting without any help by the end of the trip. He has lots of great stories to share. Highly recommend.

Thanks so much, Brad. Your kids are rock stars! Enjoyed having you guys out on the lake today.

Thanks for the review! Enjoyed getting you guys out and on some fish. Holler again anytime.

I've been fishing and hunting my whole life, and I've spent the last 26+ years guiding anglers here in Central Texas. I love getting people on their first or biggest fish — and I especially love getting kids into the sport and watching those big smiles when they catch a good one.
