Half-day in-shore trip...
1/2 day– Happy Crabber pm on June 26, 20236 adults

I arranged for me, my wife, three sisters, and one of my sisters' husbands to do a half-day in-shore trip while we were doing a family vacation on the Outer Banks. We traveled out a way, started trolling, and landed a mess of Spanish Mackerel, and a couple Bluefish. Caught several Lizard Fish, too, but chucked them back in. Big huge mouths full of teeth on those Lizard Fish, LOL! Captain Ricky and his mate were fantastic. Super friendly, knew the good spots to fish, had good equipment on hand, the boat was roomy for the 6 of us, etc. I can't think of anything that would be a negative, it's all positive, and I totally recommend Free Agent Sport Fishing to anyone who wants to get out and catch some fish! Oh, and fresh-caught Spanish Mackerel on the grill seasoned with either lemon pepper or Old Bay makes for a really nice dinner...

I started fishing because my grandfather was a commercial fisherman and I used to go with him. As soon as I graduated from high school, I moved to Hatteras Island, NC and started mating. I have fished from the Maryland, VA, line to South Carolina, as well as Florida, and in the Bahamas. I fished offshore as a mate for some of the icons of the Offshore Fishing Industry out of Oregon Inlet, NC. Tony Tillett, Buddy Cannady, and John Bayliss were 3 of the truly notable ones.
