If fishing in South Florida Everglades or Lakes is on your bucket list, look no further than Glades Jet. Captain Jose will be your guide, which means you'll tap into years of local experience.

The fish in these waters include Peacock Bass, Largemouth Bass, and other species. If your target is for Clown Knife Fish and Snakeheads let Capt. Jose know he will advise on a location that fishing is best for those species.

Thinking of bringing the whole family? Kids are absolutely welcome! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. If your group exceeds more than 4 people contact Capt. Jose and he will provide pricing and arrangements.  Also remember to bring snacks so that nobody gets cranky on an empty stomach!

Capt. Jose operates a 21' Ranger Bass boat with room for 4 passengers. It is equipped with the latest marine electronics, dual power poles for shallow water anchoring for fishing in the flats. All fishing equipment and tackle is included in your trip except for live bait.

Before coming aboard, it is necessary to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online.

Don't forget to bring sunblock (non-spray), a hat, bottled water, and sunglasses. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Now, come aboard with Glades Jet and get a lifetime experice!

Peacocks!
8 Hour Trip (AM) on November 18, 20253 adults

Captain Jose is the best! Knowledgeable, courteous and professional. Peacock bass was out target species. He put us on them, and kept us on them. He explained techniques to use, and we caught many! Truly was a great day on the water, did not disappoint! Highly recommend, will definitely book with him again!

Fishing with Captain Jose! An Unforgettable Everglades Experience!
2 hour evening trip on June 8, 20252 adults

We had an amazing day fishing in the Everglades with Captain Jose! As beginner fishermen, we weren’t sure what to expect—but Jose made everything easy, fun, and incredibly rewarding. We caught tons of bass throughout the day, and thanks to his guidance, we felt like pros by the end of the trip! Captain Jose was not only super knowledgeable, but also patient and encouraging. He took the time to show us the ropes, teach us the basics, and made sure we were set up for success. He came prepared with water and drinks to keep us comfortable, and his upbeat attitude made the entire experience even better. Whether you’re new to fishing or a seasoned angler, Captain Jose is the guy you want leading your trip. He knows the Everglades like the back of his hand and knows how to make sure everyone has a great time. Highly recommend—we’ll definitely be back!

Wow! Thank you so much for this amazing review 🙏🏻. I have a lot of passion for fishing and the sport. It is very rewarding for me to teach someone the techniques of fishing and watch them put it to use and land nice fish! There’s no better feeling in the world than that as a guide. Definitely looking forward to our next trip and I will have much more to show you as fish will start to head to deeper water. Thank you so much 🙏🏻

Basstastic!!!
2 hour evening trip on April 17, 20252 adults

My son and I had an absolutely tremendous two-hour afternoon trip with Jose today. Top boat, top equipment, top captain! More bass than we could have hoped for, including a beautiful peacock, which made our day. Booking was easy thanks to Jose’s prompt communication; we actually arrived an hour early, and after a quick text exchange he was there to meet us 20 minutes later! Overall, an exceptional experience, highly recommended. Thank you, Jose!

I'm Capt Jose Carbonell, grew up here in South Florida and have been fishing the canals and lakes since I was 8yrs old. Since then I've grown to become a very passionate angler and take great pleasure in becoming a full time guide this year. I enjoy teaching people new techniques and also learn from those that may have a different style of fishing, as the evolution of fishing is constantly changing and growing. I am also a competitive Bass Tournament angler on a semipro level. I specialize in Peacock Bass, Bulls Eye Snake Heads and other exotic species. My boat is a Stratos 201 Pro Elite equipped with the latest Garmin electronics and Panoptics transducer, 80lb thrust Minn Kota Trolling motor with weed cutter, twin red 8'power poles and powered with a 2020 Yamaha 250hp SHO.
