Recess Fishing Charters– Pathfinder 

We had an awesome experience from start to finish. Cap did a great job coaching us on the proper techniques, making sure everyone felt comfortable and knew exactly what to do. His guidance really helped, and we were able to almost max out for the day, which made the trip even more exciting. On top of that, Cap showed us a few secret spots that made the experience feel even more special. You can tell he knows the area well and genuinely wants everyone to have a great time. Overall, it was a fun, memorable, and well-run experience. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a great time on the water!

Right from the moment we dropped our lines in the water we were on Tarpin. Then in the afternoon we moved on to Shark. never expectsd to get both which was amazing!

we went for bull reds, they weren’t cooperating but we hooked into a Tarpon that was on some bucket lists! Lifetime memories made.

My granddaughter Abby and her boyfriend Colton visited us on Amelia Island in Aug. They had never been fishing in the ocean before, and Colton had never seen the ocean. I knew of Frank at Recess Charters through a mutual acquaintance, and I called him about a month before the trip. He fully understood their experience level and the purpose, and we agreed to discuss more closer to the trip date as conditions change frequently. We talked on Tues and Thursday of that week and Frank mapped out a plan. He was at the Marina when we arrived early and was prepping the boat. I've never seen a cleaner and more well-kept Pathfinder. We cruised the beach looking for bait but they had disappeared from the day before, so we headed offshore to a far buoy and soon had our bait-well full. It was a slow day, but Frank's professionalism and knowledge shown through as we continually adjusted and achieved the goal of both catching multiple kings. Frank was tremendous in his teaching techniques for the two who had never been saltwater fishing. They both penned him thank you notes following the trip focusing on how much they appreciated his kind and thoughtful approach to two novices. Frank's experience and professionalism were first and foremost throughout the day as we adjusted to changing conditions. In the late afternoon he noticed thunderstorms building along the coast and reviewed the situation with his electronics. We called it a day at the right time and safely entered the marina before the storms arrived. Frank's pre-trip planning, the condition of his boat and equipment, and his professionalism and patience with my granddaughter and her friend made memories that will last them a lifetime. Captain Frank was well prepared with all the necessary tackle and bait. We kept six (6) legal Sheepshead and released one oversized Redfish. Captain Frank is very knowledgeable about the local waters and keeps abreast of day-to-day conditions/trends. I have also beach fished with him for Tarpon and Kingfish and found his preparation and knowledge to be exceptional.

This was a birthday gift for my oldest son. Capt Frank made the entire trip worth while. He explained everything from start to end. His boat is very clean and fully equipped for anything. He's extremely knowledgeable and knows the waters. The ride back to the dock was everything when he paid respects to his family at sea. Very sentimental moment. Thank you Captain Frank and your son for a marvelous experience.

We had a great time fishing with Capt. Frank, the wind gave us a run for our money. But overall Capt. Frank showed us a good time ans we caught a few fish!

I wanted to put together something special for my dad’s birthday. I figured all the guys in the family could go fishing together. All of us have some fishing experience and wanted an alternate to the run of the mill deep sea trip. I came across Recess Sport Fishing/Captain Frank and found out he had an all day shark and tarpon trip. None of us had done that before, so I booked it. First of all, Captain Frank was polite, professional and accommodating from the get go. On the day of the trip, we met at the marina. He was early and the boat was ready. (And what a boat!) we met his mate, Anthony and we started out chasing pogies down the beach. As soon as we had bait we made our way to the nearest shrimp boats and tailed them while sight casting for sharks. All of us hooked up almost immediately and that kept going most of the day. We saw plenty of dolphins, sea turtles, sharks and other fish too. While we were fishing, Frank and Anthony were both excellent instructors and coaches and definitely kept us on the fish. I would recommend this trip to anyone who loves a sporty day on the water. I will 100% charter with Frank again so book him before I beat you to it!

I’m new to Florida but was fishing all my life in the west coast. Cap. Frank didn’t skip a beat in making me feel welcomed and guided me to cover the eastern waters. I’m definitely going to book this again.

Great time fishing, plenty of bait and plenty of big sharks. Had several triple hook ups. The boat was in exceptional shape and easily to maneuver around.
