UnderToed Fishing Charters is a USMC EOD service disabled veteran owned business. Captain Johnny specializes in light tackle live bait fishing, exploring mostly inshore and nearshore waters.
Capt. Johnny grew up hunting and fishing in the area, and has a great love of the outdoors, which he shares with his family. For this reason, kids under 8 are exempt from the additional cost. Capt. Johnny wants to help these kids make lasting memories, have loads of fun, and discover a great love of fishing. Although there is no minimum age on board, for kids under 8 or very petite children, please let Captain Johnny know beforehand so they can get the right sized life vest in.
You will fish in a recently restored 24' Blazer Bay boat. It can comfortably fit 4 people on board without crossing lines. All gear and bait are provided, you just need to bring sunscreen, food and drinks with you.
UnderToed Fishing Charters also offers 10% discounts for all military and first responders – just bring along your ID on the day of your trip. Your captain truly appreciates the sacrifices made by these folks and would like to reward them for it.

We had an awesome trip! The bite was a little slow, but our captain never gave up. He worked hard the entire time to keep us on fish and made sure we had every opportunity to catch something. His knowledge, effort, and determination really stood out. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a great fishing experience, and we’ll definitely be booking with him every time we’re back. We had an awesome fishing experience on Tuesday afternoon, September 23, 2025 with the skills and expertise of Captain Johnny and reeled in 13 Mangrove Snappers and one Flounder. A stingray was our first catch, and it was thrown back! Johnny’s dedication and knowledge of the Orange Beach waters put us on the fish. We appreciated his kindness and professionalism throughout our journey. If you are looking for patience and friendliness, book your trip with Captain Johnny. Our panfried mild white Mangrove Snapper dinner was delicious, very moist and sweet with no fishy taste. Thank you, Captain Johnny for a great experience … we will be back next year and recommend you to all our friends.
Took my grown son out with Captain Johnny for his first deep sea fishing trip. We had a blast. Johnny was very knowledgeable, patient and professional. I highly recommend.

High seas kept us out of the gulf. Our snapper trip turned into a back bay trout trip. Bad weather and slow fishing was the theme of the day. Captain Johnny is a good fisherman, hard worker and nice guy. I enjoyed fishing with him.

After coming back to Alabama, I got a job at a gun range but decided 'I'd rather be fishing'. This is how I started Contact Front Charters with my best friend Jeremy. Now I'm branching out on my own.

You can cancel or modify your booking up to 1 day before the trip date, free of charge. If you cancel or modify your booking later, or fail to show up, you'll forfeit 100% of what you've paid.
