Blue Island Inshore Fishing Charter 

In a world of too busy, all work, and no time, sometimes you just have to get out on the water with a Captain that knows their stuff. Captain Austin was both helpful and highly enjoyable to work spend time with. We hit like 8 different spots, got multiple hits, and apparently fed a lot of fish our bait. We did actually catch some fish, but they were ALL well below trophy level. However, I got the chance to spend 4+ hours with someone I care about, saw them relax, and have great fun. That is what matters. But a fish large enough to eat would have been nice. Great day, worth every penny.

We had another great day with Captain Austin. As usual, his ability to put us on fish, his boat and equipment and hospitality were awesome. Thanks Austin for a great day on the water.

Fishing inshore/nearshore with Captain Austin is a must if you’re in the area! My husband and I caught Spanish Mackerel, King Mackerel, sucker fish, and red snapper. Austin had everything we needed to have a successful fishing experience. Hopefully we’ll be able to go back and fish next season!

5 of us went out with Captain Austin for a 6 hour trip and had a blast. First place we stopped, he got us into speckled trout and Spanish Mackerel almost immediately. Later in the afternoon we took turns smacking big reds. Austin is good with kids and taught them the right tactics for targeting the different types of fish we were chasing. He had an excellent knowledge of the area and knew when it was time to reel up and change tactics or locations. While other boats were struggling, we were high fiving and taking pictures. The boat is nice and well maintained. Fishing gear was adequate for the type of fishing we were doing. Austin was diligent making sure our large group was taken care of consistently throughout the trip. Highly recommended.

Me and my wife came to orange beach for vacation and decided we wanted to go fishing. We looked at all the reviews and Captn Austin had the best. We were not disappointed he is very knowledgeable of the fishing in the area. He took us to a spot and my wife caught a big red fish. The next spot I caught a black drum. We finished rhe trip by trolling for Spanish mackerel. Captn Austin did not disappoint again when we hooked the mackerel.The boat is very clean and in tip top shape. Captn Austin is also the kind of guy that you enjoy spending the afternoon with very friendly and fun to be around.

Took my son on a his 10 year father son fishing trip. Austin was awesome. Made the whole trip great!

We had a great half day afternoon trip with Captain Austin. We caught flounder, pompano and black drum off the jetties, and some speckled trout in the sound. Captain Austin reached out to me before the trip to find out what we wanted to fish for, and to also update us on the fishing and weather conditions. The trip was very enjoyable, and his tackle and boat were first rate. We went to a number of different spots to use different techniques and catch different fish. Everything was on time, he laid out the plan for the day then he executed!! We practically had big reds jumping in the boat! Caught 13 was never a dull moment we had boats following us, that should tell you something. Trip of a life time, Texas boys will be back again around the same time next year! We had a fantastic time with Blue Island Inshore Charters in spite of some nasty winds. Capt. Austin put in a ton of work to get us on some fish knowing that weather conditions were going to be rough. The boat performed flawlessly with the tough job it had to do, the gear and tackle was great, and there was plenty of bait. We managed to bring in a few, and Austin cleaned and filleted them for us to take back. We had a great time and would definitely book again when we're back in the area.

Austin was fun and great to fish with for the day. He put my family on a variety of fish. Lots of opportunities and we even caught a 20-30 lb King Mackerel.
