I took a full day fishing trip with my son and I was VERY satisfied. The experience cannot be described in words. I RECOMMEND this trip with Captain Zandré to my fishing colleagues!!!

My wife and I had an AMAZING time on our 12 day charter. We trolled, we bottom fished including the use of a cool electric reel at 260M depth, we jigged… which is insanely hard!! We caught a huge Yellow Fin Barracuda from the fighting chair, we pulled in a Trigger Fish, a Cat Eye Shark, a bunch of Chonga, and a cool Lizard Fish. It was a great day, with great food, tons of water and other drinks, and a beautiful boat, but the ONE thing I have to say is despite communicating regularly with Captain Zandré, we weren't on his boat. We fished on Black Swords with a different crew. This only matters because we were in a foreign country and needed to acquire transport from the beach to the charter boat which was a unique and fun experience, but Zandré never communicated that I wouldn't be looking for him… so when we arrived at 'the boat' I was truly concerned we were on the WRONG boat. It obviously worked out, but communication is everything, and, truly, it was great right until the last moment. A message from Zandré stating, 'I will not be your captain but you'll fish with ____' would have solved it entirely. The day was incredible. The communication aside from that was incredible. We were offered to keep ALL of our catch and elected to keep a small amount to be cooked at our hotel and leave the rest to be sold. So many amazing experiences, just that ONE critique. I'd fish with ANYONE in this fleet again… just would love to know with whom I'm fishing the day before or day of the charter so I don't have a panic moment when I arrive to the boat.

We had a good time, but fishing in a storm was not ideal. Exiting the fishing boat and into the smaller boat was very difficult as the weather was horrible and sea extremely choppy. It would have been ideal if the captain had given us the option to postpone for a few hours or another day. Captain Stef and his crew mate were great and dealing with Zandre was super professional. We got 1 1/2 good sized kingfish (1 was eaten by a shark as we reeled it in). Would definitely go out with these guys if I'm in Zanzibar next.
With my girlfriend we decided to go fishing for the last day of our vacation. Captain Zandré picked us in Kizimkaze center and we were off to an amazing fishing experience I wouldnt even dare to dream. I always wanted to catch a sailfish and marlin... We started off with a decent dorado and two wahoos. I thought it would be cool to catch a barracuda maybe, but then it happened. We hooked three sailfishes, two got away, but we caught one. It was my first sailfish and I was more than happy for that catch. I would totally recommend captain Zandré to anyone wanting to go fishing in Zanzibar. He is a really experienced captain with numerous victories in fishing competitions. He knows his thing. In the end it was a great catch and an awesome day. For the record, all the fish we caught,.captain sold and gave to charity for local school. Such a nice gesture.

I am a South African fisherman and I specialize in topwater fishing. My main goal on a fishing trip is to get the clients the biggest fish and best footage of their catch. I started fishing when I was 3 years old and ever since I caught my first fish, I was properly hooked. I knew that I wanted to be a fishing guide.
