Captain and his mate were awesome! It was a slow day and all the boats were struggling, but they put us on fish and we had a great time!

Full Day Trip
After confirming that our trip was still on the night before, I was told it would need to be pushed back an hour due to the Captain's primary job. Then an hour and fifteen, then- showed up an hour and a half after the original booking time that day, without a first mate (who overslept). We all brought rain gear- the Captain forgot his. Then, clearly in a hurry from being behind- we gunned it out to the location over choppy waters, launching my 65 y/o father out of his seat over every other wave. I can't fault the fishing, because it was later in the season. The Captain mentioned on more that one occasion (I'm assuming since it was raining, and he was in shorts & a T-shirt) that we could wrap it up whenever we wanted. We eventually cut it short. He gave us a $65 break on the $950 trip. He then later mentioned that if we cancelled due to weather- Fishbooker would refund our deposit, that they kept anyway (and coincidentally, I'd not have been able to submit a review). Maybe I could have overlooked some of the unprofessionalism had it been mid-Cobia season, but I drove 6.5 hours and spent hard earned money to spend time with my dad and his friend (who'd never been on a charter) to feel like someone's off day on a side hustle. Didn't rate it at a one because at least he kept us baited and reeling for the duration, even if it was mainly toadfish.
