8:30am - 12:30pm
1:30pm - 5:30pm
7:30pm - 11:30pm

All their trips are $40 per person plus tax, and that includes everything you will need. Just bring your own refreshments and they will supply everything else - rods, reels, licenses, and bait.

On this boat you will go bottom fishing for Snappers, Grouper, Porgies, Grunts and other small to medium sized bottom fish.  Most fish caught are in the 1-2 pound range and they are good eating fish.  You will be accompanied by an experienced captain and mate, who will guide you and take you about one mile offshore to the Fort Lauderdale reef.

This is a great boat to come out fishing in Fort Lauderdale without spending a lot of money as the cost of the charter is divided among several people.

About the Captain

I am a 3rd generation fisherman in Fort Lauderdale. I started in 1967 as a mate on one of the local drift boats. I fished with my dad who also worked the boat and taught me how to fish. When I was old enough, I began working as a mate on the sportfishing boats. As years past, I got my captain's license. I took a private sportfishing captain's job for about 8 years where the owner of the boat and I fished the Bahamas Billfish Championship tournaments, all through the Bahamas, Caribbean and south Florida. In 1994, I took out a $30,000 loan to buy a charter boat and start my own business, me and my sons. A couple years later, we bought a drift boat, the Catch My Drift and we've been drift fishing off the coast of Fort Lauderdale every day since. The Catch My Drift is Fort Lauderdale's largest and only air-conditioned drift boat. We run 3 trips every day and nobody fishes more than we do. There are several captains of the boat... me, my son Rod and my other son Andy, Stu and Billy.

They went out with horrible conditions such as rain and large waves, making half of the guests soaked and sea sick. Meaning people lost out on money because they were throwing up the entire time!
Although I understand not being able to control mother nature, you can control going out and rescheduling. I feel that would have been better for future business instead of thinking about getting any dollar you can. Secondly, we didn’t target one species that was mentioned when we booked, conveniently for them what we did catch they kept for chum to catch shark. Not good

Alexander,

Thank you for fishing with us.  I am sorry the waves were big the day you went out and it rained.  We fish no matter what, every day.  Customers have to make up their own mind whether they want to come fishing or not.  You are always welcome to reschedule if you prefer to go on another day, but we sail no matter what.  Bonitos are one of the main fish that we fish for this time of year and while they are not good eating, they are a very strong gamefish that puts up a good fight.  We catch snappers as well, but this time of year the bonitos are biting the best.  We always fish for whatever is going to bite the best.  Our prices are less than the price of the water taxi, so for the money, there is no better deal for 4 hours of deep sea fishing on the ocean.  The fish don’t always bite, so it’s best to come out with the attitude that you will enjoy being on the ocean no matter how the fish bite that day.  We hope you come back and fish with us again.  Make sure to look at the weather for yourself and make up your own mind about the weather.  We never cancel the trip because it is a little wavy or rainy out.  Sea you next time!

We were just about to board the crowded boat to stand elbow to elbow with everyone else and had a bit of a sinking feeling.  Something was a little fishy.  Then, they asked us if we preferred a smaller charter boat that takes only 6 people.  Holy mackerel.  We were hooked.  We paid the extra fins to upgrade.  BEST DECISION EVER.
Only 6 people plus crew of Rod and Paul.
We spent 2 hours catching bait fish (about as big as anything else I have ever caught).  Then dropped lines looking for Moby Dick.  We ended up catching a 82” Golden Dusky Shark!!  Amazing.
