Let’s go fishing! Catch My Drift fish every single day in Fort Lauderdale on three party boat fishing trips. Their daily schedule is:

8:30am - 12:30pm
1:30pm - 5:30pm
7:30pm - 11:30pm

All their trips are $40 per person plus tax, and that includes everything you will need. Just bring your own refreshments and they will supply everything else - rods, reels, licenses, and bait.

On this boat you will go bottom fishing for Snappers, Grouper, Porgies, Grunts and other small to medium sized bottom fish.  Most fish caught are in the 1-2 pound range and they are good eating fish.  You will be accompanied by an experienced captain and mate, who will guide you and take you about one mile offshore to the Fort Lauderdale reef.

This is a great boat to come out fishing in Fort Lauderdale without spending a lot of money as the cost of the charter is divided among several people.

I am an avid fisherman and this trip was not what i expected. We barely went out from the inlet and caught baby fish.

What disturbed me even more was thst anytime a short fish was caught, both mates would unhook them and throw them right in the direction of pelicans who gobbled them up. How stupid.
I mean a 7 inch strawberry grouper just wasted for no good reason, Dont they know replenishing the bio stock is linked to thier livlihoods as mates. I was so pissed, i unhooked my own fish and made sure i released them away from the pelicans. I must have seen 35 shorts get eaten,....shame on you mates to take thier lives

Hi John,

Thank you for fishing with us.  I’m sorry you didn’t enjoy yourself on the trip.  As the trip description clearly says, we target the small reef fish such as snappers, porgies, grunts, triggers and jacks… all the small bottom fish on the reef.  This is a trip that takes out lots of people so we are targeting numbers of fish, not size.  As for the pelicans, pelicans are super aggressive.  They dive bomb anything you throw in the water.  We try to release them but if the pelicans eat them, that’s just nature.  I have no control over the pelicans.  We caught a lot of fish on the trip that day, most of them shorts but a lot of keepers too.  Again, thank you for fishing with us and I am sorry about the pelicans.  I wish the pelicans allowed the small fish to swim home freely, but that’s just the brutal side of nature.
