Rooster's Crow Guide Service offers full and half day guided inshore fishing trips. They specialize in wade and drift fishing the bays, marshes, and beachfront (when weather allows) in the areas of West Galveston and Freeport. They are a family-friendly guide service and encourage sharing the fishing experience with youth.
All trips are operated by Captain Robert McCormick and his wife Lauren. With over 25 years of fishing experience in the area, Capt. Robert knows everything you'll need for a great day of fishing.
The trips that Rooster's Crow offers can accommodate up to 4 anglers and kids of all ages are welcome as well. You'll be fishing from a 21' Xpress bay boat that's powered by a 200 HP Yamaha engine. The boat also features navigational electronics, a live bait tank, and a wireless trolling motor when you need to sneak up on fish.
You'll mostly target inshore and reef species, such as Flounder, Speckled Trout, Redfish, Black Drum, and Sheepshead. If you're after slightly larger fish, you can also catch Spanish Mackerel or a few types of Shark. After the trip, the catch is all yours and the captain will also clean and bag it for you. Then, you just need to find a place to fry it and enjoy it with a glass of wine.
Your fishing equipment is fully covered and you'll also have drinking water on the boat. You only need to purchase your fishing license and bring some snacks.
Let Rooster's Crow Guide Service take you out for a fun day with your loved ones. Join whenever you feel the need for a quality time outdoors.

I’ll start this review by saying we really, really appreciate captain Robert McCormick’s hospitality. hands down one of the most humble human beings i have ever met. you can truly tell that its not about money for him and its about providing an experience for his customers. i made a comment about never catching a flounder before and he made it a point to try his hardest to get me on a flounder. we caught several fish, two were keepers and the rest were under size. these guys cant control the bite, and they cant control where the fish are. for us, it was about the experience of a bay trip. we held great conversation’s and had many laughs on the trip with the captain. hes a local man that grew up fishing the bay. he showed us several areas that most wouldnt. thank you captain Robert McCormick for a great experience!

Went out for my son's birthday. Had a nice time. Unfortunately the fish weren't really accommodating, but Captain Robert did his best. Very nice and helpful guide.

Had a great day of fishing with Captain Robert. Everyone caught fish and had a great time. Highly recommend!!

We were four anglers and the boat and Capt. accommodated our ever need. Threw back more than we kept.
