Guanatuna II Sportfishing offers specialized packages for all levels of anglers looking for an exciting adventure off the coast of Puerto Vallarta. Captain Hector Corona is an expert local fisherman with lifelong experience in deep sea fishing off the Pacific coast of Mexico. As a tournament angler, he's won many competitions and as a charter captain, he specializes in putting his guests on big game pelagics.
Your voyage will take place on a 28' Nava center console, outfitted with state-of-the-art amenities and fishing tackle. This boat comes with top-of-the-line electronics, including a GPS, fishfinder, VHF radio, and a sound system so you can play your favorite tunes while you fish. On board, you'll also find a private toilet, a fighting chair, and a spacious deck with enough room for 4 guests to enjoy a full day of fishing.
Kids of all ages are welcome aboard and Capt. Hector keeps his boat stocked with necessary safety gear, including life jackets for kids ages 3 and older. You'll be fishing with top-quality rods and reels made by Shimano, Penn, and Avet, and live bait and lures are also included in the price.
Capt. Hector provides long offshore trips where you'll have the opportunity to catch pelagic species up to 60 miles from the coast. Here, you'll target Blue, Black, and Striped Marlin, as well as Yellowfin Tuna, Sailfish, Yellowtail Amberjack, Mahi Mahi, and many more.
Other trips will see you fishing up to 30 miles offshore or you can also enjoy a fun day of inshore bay fishing where you'll catch lots of Bonito, Jacks, Roosterfish, and other exciting species.
All you have to do is purchase a fishing license before your trip and arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled departure time. Bring some snacks, drinks, sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses. Please note that there is a marina fee of $5 per person.

Captain Hector Scooby Corona got is hooked on a big marlin ona day when no-one is else was having any luck. Fought it for 1 1/2 hrs and capitan and mate (Rodrigo) did amazing job keeping the fish on and landing the fish. Definitely recommend for your next outing. 10/10.

Capt Hector is a great fisherman! His passion for fishing and rigging skills were obvious when we ventured onto a school of mahi just a few miles off of PV! The chef at the Vallarta Yacht Club in Nuevo Vallarta did an excellent job cooking the mahi for our party of 8!

Great morning out with Hector and Mario (aka Chicken). Very good boat and equipment. The guys go out of their way to get you the best experience, including fresh Benito Ceviche!! Nice work Chicken. I recommend these guys for sure.

I was fortunate enough to have written down the captains phone # as their directions were NO GOOD! Our cab driver was able to contact them and take us to the appropriate place. Not a good way to start the trip. No fish were caught, just one of those days. The crew did everything they could including stopping when seeing surface activity & dropping bait right on them. No luck. We only saw 1 other boat catch 1 fish.
