Epi Gilligan Fishing is all about fishing the stunning waters of Puerto Vallarta. Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Epifanio can tell you all about them.
These waters are known for Amberjack, Pacific Barracuda, Skipjack, Mahi Mahi, Jack Crevalle, Blue Marlin, Striped Marlin, Sailfish, Roosterfish, Cubera Snapper, Tripletail, Skipjack Tuna, and more – with any luck, it won't take long to hook into some. Depending on the species you're after, you may find yourself light tackle fishing, popping, trolling, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Thinking of bringing the whole family? Kids are absolutely welcome! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. Also remember to bring snacks to stay fueled throughout your trip!
Your vessel for the day is a 24' Nava panga with space for 4 passengers. It has outriggers, a fighting chair, and everything you need for a productive day on the water. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. Rods, reels, and tackle are included, as well as lures. Live bait is included, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. A 10–20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work.
There's no need to buy a fishing license, just show up ready for some fishing! Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.
It's never a bad idea to bring sunscreen (non-spray), and sunglasses. Drinks are included, free of charge. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
How often would you rather be fishing? Go on and turn that day dream into a reality, with Epi Gilligan Fishing.
