Capt. Carlos was awesome! He was in contact with us from the moment we booked the trip. He c wanted to know what type of fish we wanted to catch. We let him know we were just interested indirt fishing, catch and release. He took us to the perfect spot. You could tell that fishing was his life and he was extremely knowledgeable. He made it fun He was just as excited as we were with every fish we landed. We caught two large Tarpins, two jack fish, and we even caught a hammerhead shark. This was, by far, one of the best things we did on b the island and will definately fish with him again.

It was a beautiful day on the water, caught 3 fish had a big one go into the rocks. Carlos is a commercial fisherman and has been doing it all his life. He knows the area and where the fish are, but if they are going to bite is another thing. The rains changed the fishing some but that’s why it’s called fishing. His knowledge and attitude was great, and to see Old San Juan from the water was awesome. The boat was clean and well kept, and the gear was in Great condition. He explained everything about fishing in Puerto Rico, and really cares about showing his clients a good time. He called the night before to let us know it wouldn’t be calm, but we have fished 20 miles off the coast of New Hampshire many times and knew we would be fine and it was for us. Carlos really did everything within his power to make sure we knew what to expect and left satisfied.

I have done 2 trips with The Drop Fishing Charters. Carlos knows when and where to fish! We were searching for a bigger boat to go out on the offshore trip & he has the perfect 24 foot craft. He is bi-lingual and very knowledgeable and willing to explain why it is were fishing a certain location with specific bait. We have caught Snook, Mahi Mahi, & Barracuda. While we were waiting he was showing us previously caught fish in the same spots. We got to see many iguanas & local birds. We were on a mission to catch a Tarpon today & he went out of his way to make sure we hooked one...well two at one time! We were able to land one!!! Our captain, Carlos Andreas Torres was amazing. He's super friendly and very knowledgeable. The boat was immaculate 🚤 and he had both live bait🎏 and regular tackle 🎐so we caught a couple different types of fish🎣. We went in-shore fishing so it was nice and calm, no choppy 🌊water or nausea 👍. In addition to fudh we saw many kinds of birds, sting-rays and a dolphin! Overall we had a great trip and would definitely recommend and book with Carlos Andreas again 😀.

My girlfriend and I went for a half day Inshore trip targeting Tarpon. We set out on his beautiful 24ft Contender center console. Captain Carlos caught some live bait first thing as we were headed towards the mangroves. We had two good bites within the first 20 minutes and lost both of the fish. It was an exceptionally slow morning and the tides were working against us, but we had lines in the water the whole time and were seeing rising Tarpon all around. Captain had never seen nor had a morning like it because the fish were everywhere just not biting. We decided to move to a different spot and spent a little time there with no action. I realized that my half day was up but Captain assured me he wasn’t gonna give up until he put us on some fish. Which has never happened in my experience as a client on a fishing boat. The tides changed and we moved back toward the original area we had started in and sure enough we hooked up! Keep in mind this is after the agreed upon time frame. I caught my first Tarpon ever and so did my Girlfriend. Shortly after we hooked up on a monster. Around 100lbs, drag was screaming and when the fish jumped my adrenaline was pumping hard. The gear we true and the hook was in there so even though I wasn’t a pro I got to fight this beast for a good 10minutes. Unfortunately the fish made a run for the mangroves and broke off but that’s what Tarpon fishing is all about. You win some and you lose most fights. The fact is Captain Carlos went above and beyond to put us on the fish no matter what. He wasn’t concerned with how long or the time just that we had a great experience, caught some fish and had some stories to leave with. I’m super grateful for the experience and for meeting Carlos. He’s a great Captain, super professional, knows where the fish are and won’t give up. I highly recommend The Drop Fishing because even in the rare event the fish just arnt biting and the conditions arnt right Carlos will make sure to put you on the fish no matter what.

The Captain kept us up to date with weather information days before the actual trip. His knowledge of the waters, and his experience, led us to catch bucket list fish. If you’re looking for a fishing charter in San Juan look no further than Captain Andres. You will not be disappointed.

The Drop fishing Charters was a very nice experience. we met with our guides Carlos and Luis. they were very knowledgeable and excited about their job. Carlos has a very nice boat and all the equipment and resources needed for the trip fairly new and efficient tackle. 2 people in our group had motion sickness(sea sick). and both Luis and Carlos were helpful and thoughtful to help them in anyway. other than that the trip was awesome and fun the 2 that got sea sick also enjoyed their time. Thanks again to Carlos and Luis we will be diffidently be hitting them back up next time we come out to Puerto Rico.

We had a fantastic fishing day with Carlos who put us on a number of different fish throughout the day. We caught Red Snapper, Tuna and Tarpon. What a fantastic day on the water that me and my son will remember forever. Thanks Carlos!!!!

My wife and I had a great time!!! Captain Carlos did everything in his power to put us on fish and it was amazing!! I would highly recommend me him. We will be booking with him again on our next trip to Puerto Rico.
