If you’re planning on visiting Manzanillo, Mexico and have dreams of battling deep-sea giants you’ll find Lori III Sportfishing to be the perfect charter for you. The captain is inviting anglers of all ages and skill levels to join one of his exciting trips, venturing up to 30 miles offshore and targeting some of the most prized species swimming in the local waters!

The boat you’ll be fishing from is a 40’ Astillero Manzanillo, offshore sportfisher, powered by a 350 HP Caterpillar engine. Its maximum capacity is 8 anglers, but how many can fish at the same depends on many factors. Two first mates go on every trip, they are there to assist the customers with anything they need and will even clean your catch at the end of the trip. The boat is equipped with navigation and communication electronics and all the necessary safety equipment. The captain is CPR trained and there is a flushable toilet on board.

Each guest will be equipped with first-class Penn, Okuma, and Tiagra rods and reels, giving you the best chance of landing that catch you’re after when you get the opportunity. Live bait is not used but you’ll have access to an assortment of artificial lures and frozen bait. The main fishing techniques employed on charter trips are bottom and deep-sea fishing.

The captain will provide each group with 24 cold beers, 2 liters of soda, 5 liters of water, 25 toasts, vegetables to make ceviche or sashimi, and a cooler with ice bar. You have the freedom to bring on board any additional food and drinks you’d like.

Perfect trip with Lori 3!

4 Hours Traditional Trip on December 3, 2025

We had an amazing 4-hour trip with Lori 3 fishing! We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Captain Ramon and hand Jorge were excellent, Ramon has great English and took the time to explain the different options and trade-offs between focusing nearshore (smaller fish but more chance of hits) or in open water at the start of the trip. They adjusted the lines throughout the trip depending on what we were going after and when we had fish on the lines, supported us throughout. Thanks to them we were able to land a blue marlin, a sailfish and a bonito - and had a lot of fun! We understood that there's not a great chance of landing a marlin over only 4 hours, but figured we would go for it anyways and we're glad we did. We also saw whales, lots of dolphins, and a sea turtle. Lori 3 was also very easy to communicate with ahead of time, answered all our questions, and was flexible on timing - which was super important to us as we were in Manzanillo on a cruise ship and had only a limited time in port. For anyone who may be coming to Manzanillo on a cruise ship, don't hesitate, Lori 3 is docked just a few minutes walk from the cruise port! All in all, it was a great experience and the Lori 3 team was very warm, fun, and most of all, professional!

One of the best experiences I've ever had with such professional guides. I can see why the reviews for Lori III are so high—they truly lived up to the praise. From the moment we arrived, Ramon Sr., Ramon Jr., Jorge, and Fabian made sure we would leave with unforgettable memories—and we certainly did. We started catching fish as soon as we left the shore. The sandwich was delicious, and the fresh ceviche made from the fish we caught was incredible. We ended the trip with seven yellowfin tuna! I genuinely feel like I made friends with the entire crew. They made us ceviche with fiah we caught, got us on fish and caught a yellow tuna and several binitos. Crew and captain worked hard and made the trip awesome! definitely recommend Lori III! Signed up for 6 hours and they were flexible giving us an extra 2 hours while out.

great crew and nice clean boat. started trolling as soon as we left the harbor. hooked and lost a Dorado within 20 mins of getting our lines in the water. englush speaking capt makes communication easy if you dont speak spanish. we ended the day with 2- nice sailfish and 1 dorado. we had a great experience on tge Lori 3 and plan another trip with them in November.
