You'll be fishing from a spacious 25' Johnson bay boat, accommodating up to 6 guests, including children above the ages of 7. The boat comes with top-notch fishing gear, as well as safety equipment, to ensure a productive and safe trip for everyone on board.
You'll be fishing the inshore waters of Quepos, traversing through mangrove forests that produce a variety of different species. These waters are teeming with fish that give even the most experienced anglers a run for their money. Your bucket list includes Mullet and Cubera Snapper, Goliath Grouper, California Corbina, and Roosterfish.
Each guide is a local and knows these waters better than the back of their hands. They require no special technology, such as GPS or fishfinder, and will put you on fish strictly by reading the water. You'll be impressed with their intuition and natural ability to find where all the best fish are hiding.
The main technique is handlining but there are also top-quality rods and reels available if you'd like to cast. You can also bring your own rods if you prefer using your own gear instead, it's up to you. You'll be using mostly live bait and it's caught on the trip, usually in the beginning.
Fish cleaning is also included, so you can take your catch home for a delicious meal. No fishing license is required, so just arrive 20 minutes early, bring some sun protection, and you're all set. I would recommend this fishing trip December through February and a morning fish

The captain had collected live crabs for bait the night before and we caught live minnows on they way out. We fished all over the mangroves and the river leading to the Pacific. We caught some nice keepers and at the end, he took us to a spot that was loaded will small sea bass and catfish so that my wife and daughter could catch a bunch of fish as well. We also saw a bunch wildlife, from exotic birds, to monkeys and even crocodiles! It was a lot of fun and I would definitely recommend them!

Andres treated us very well, spoke excellent English, and was extremely professional the whole time. Unfortunately, the fish were not biting while we were out there which was a bummer. I booked this charter for 5 hours and we didn’t catch anything during that time so the captain graciously allowed us almost 2 full extra hours! Finally we hooked 2 small fish. Fantastic service and overall a great experience!

Was a slow day fishing wise but still managed to bring home some red snapper and snook for dinner. Beautiful views of the mangroves from all the way upriver down to the mouth of the ocean and saw some amazing wildlife. Fantastic captain and assistant worked hard all day to put us on the fish. The mangrove fishing trip was a highlight of our trip. The crew went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. One of them even jumped in the water to retrieve a fish that entered the mangrove root system! We had a great time!

We should have caught more fish to but I kept missing the hook sets. We caught one nice red snapper but nobody that we passed was doing any better. The crew was knowledgeable and worked hard but some days are just like that.
