Get ready to explore the brackish waters of Quepos and battle elusive inshore species with Mangrove Fishing Tours! With over 20 years of experience, you can expect their team of professional guides to take you to some of the most secluded spots to put you on big fish.

You'll be fishing from a spacious 25' Johnson bay boat, accommodating up to 6 guests, including children above the ages of 7. The boat comes with top-notch fishing gear, as well as safety equipment, to ensure a productive and safe trip for everyone on board.

You'll be fishing the inshore waters of Quepos, traversing through mangrove forests that produce a variety of different species. These waters are teeming with fish that give even the most experienced anglers a run for their money. Your bucket list includes Mullet and Cubera Snapper, Goliath Grouper, California Corbina, and Roosterfish.

Each guide is a local and knows these waters better than the back of their hands. They require no special technology, such as GPS or fishfinder, and will put you on fish strictly by reading the water. You'll be impressed with their intuition and natural ability to find where all the best fish are hiding.

The main technique is handlining but there are also top-quality rods and reels available if you'd like to cast. You can also bring your own rods if you prefer using your own gear instead, it's up to you. You'll be using mostly live bait and it's caught on the trip, usually in the beginning.

Fish cleaning is also included, so you can take your catch home for a delicious meal. No fishing license is required, so just arrive 20 minutes early, bring some sun protection, and you're all set. Your captain will also supply food and drinks to make sure your energy levels are up throughout the trip.

Get ready to experience the true meaning of 'Pura Vida,' and enjoy an exciting day of fishing with Mangrove Fishing Tours! Invite the family, start planning your trip, and let the crew take care of the rest.

Great trip!
Quepos Mangrove Tour (AM) on June 17, 20254 adults
The boat was nice, and included high end gear. The captain had collected live crabs for bait the night before and we caught live minnows on they way out. We fished all over the mangroves and the river leading to the Pacific. We caught some nice keepers and at the end, he took us to a spot that was loaded will small sea bass and catfish so that my wife and daughter could catch a bunch of fish as well. We also saw a bunch wildlife, from exotic birds, to monkeys and even crocodiles! It was a lot of fun and I would definitely recommend them!

Best December- February morning charters
Quepos Mangrove Tour (PM) on April 19, 20264 adults
with our time constraints and other people we were stuck with doing an afternoon fish trip. we ended up catching one of the target species which was a black snapper. our guide Andreas was fabulous. he worked hard to get us on to fish but they just weren't biting. we tried several different spots. I would recommend this fishing trip December through February and a morning fish

What a great day on the water!
Quepos Mangrove Tour (AM) on February 10, 20256 adults
Our guides Andres and Minor carried their enthusiasm for fishing and the Costa Rican landscape the entire day. They knew and appreciated everything around us and were excited to share it all with us. And best of all we slayed fish all day with them. It was a total blast. Highly recommend booking a tour with them!!!
