Up to 6 guests are welcome on board, heading from sweet spot to sweet spot in search of some prized fish. Make use of the 360-degree view and the spacious deck as you battle it out with monster fish, while the captain will provide water and chips to keep you energized. All the gear is brand new!
Get ready to put your fishing skills and physical strength to the test, as you go prowl the waters of surrounding Port Charlotte, Boca Grande, or Englewood in search of some tough-fighting and delicious creatures. Snook, Sharks, and Tarpon will provide the toughest battle to come aboard, while Redfish, Trout, and Snappers also promise to put up a fight.
After working up a sweat, you can even go snorkeling to cool off. Get in touch with your captain and he can provide the equipment. If an evening cruise is more your speed, ask Capt. Cody to take you dolphin watching and sightseeing. He can also take you out to Cabbage Key island for shelling and any other activities you enjoy on the shore. Water is served on board, and you are welcome to bring your own alcohol (no glass containers).
At the end of the day, your captain will clean and fillet your edible catch to take home, so you're good to go. All you need will be provided, including the license. Make Straw Hats Fishing Charters your next stop in western Florida

My family did a 6 hour trip with Captain Cody and had a great time! The weather and wind didn’t cooperate to do the typical trip, but Cody had a plan for the weather and still made the day a success. We caught a good variety of fish (including a puffer fish!) and had a really great day! He is very knowledgable about the local ecosystem and gladly shared his knowledge with us, which made the trip even more enjoyable. We highly recommend Captain Cody and will plan future outings with him when we’re in the area!

thank you, Angela! I appreciate those great kind words and it was my pleasure fishing with you guys. I look forward to our next trip already. Thank you again, Captain cody!
Captain Cody is awesome. Got up early and worked hard to find some elusive bait for us. Was patient with all three of our kiddos and helped them all get hooked up on multiple species of fish. Everyone had a blast. Cody stayed engaged the whole trip and told us history of the area as we switched spots. We caught snook, snapper, catfish, redfish, and jack crevalle. Everything about the trip was top notch. Would not hesitate to book again if we are in town!!

such a fun time out there, Roy! Very much, my pleasure and I look forward to fishing with you guys again Thank you, Captain cody
We had the pleasure of charting with Captain Cody, with his expertise as a group of 4 who barely fished before we caught a bunch of fish and had a blast. Cody is very knowledgable and a great instructor, will be booking again and 10/10 reccomend!

that was a blast joey! Looking forward to our next trip! Thank you again, Captain cody.

We went on a 3 hour trip. Captain Cody arrived on time and had gotten bait with his cast net. We tried several spots. He would only stay in a spot for longer than 15 minutes if we were catching fish. He grew up in the area and has good knowledge of the fish and wildlife. He did everything he could to find fish for us. Not so easy on a hot day!

thank you again, Joe! I look forward to fishing with you guys again!
Captain Cody did everything he could to get us some fishing action, and he was successful in doing so! Really enjoyed our time together as a family out on the boat.

thank you again mark! wonderful time on the charlotte harbir

Growing up on the Charlotte Harbor his whole life, Captain Cody was always an avid boater. Both his parents are captains in the keys and he decided to follow in their footsteps, and make use of his experience and love for the water, by making his passion a profession at the age of 18 in 2011. With a record catch of 185 pound Tarpon out of the Charlotte Harbor, he's just the guy to get you reeling in the big fish or have a great time in general.
