Spring Tide Safaris

P.O Box 466, Cavenagh St Darwi…
Darwin NT, Australia

Spring Tide Safaris is a fishing charter that operates out of Darwin Top End and only requires their guests to bring a sense of humor. They will provide everything else. They are one of Darwin’s most popular charter operators and provide unparalleled fun on each trip. You will learn a lot about the species of fish you will be targeting, as well as about the local environment and nature.

You will fish aboard a 20 ft boat that was built specifically for catching Barras in Darwin. It has a 150 HP Yamaha Four Stroke motor, and a capacity for 5 guests. The boat is equipped with the latest electronics in form of a GPS, a fishfinder and a VHF radio, as well as an EPIRB. You will also find the boat is equipped with life jackets for your safety, swivel seats and a retractable sliding canopy. The boat’s icebox can be used to store your catch until your return to the shore.

You will fish in the most beautiful and awe-inspiring remote locations in the Northern Territory where there are plenty of shallow waters rich with a variety of fish. Depending on the season, you will be able to target Coral Trout, Black Jewfish, Barramundi, Queenfish, Threadfin Salmon, Mangrove Snapper, Narrow-barred Spanish Mackerel, Giant Trevally, and Bluefin and Longtail Tunas. The crew will provide fly fishing equipment, rods, reels, tackle, live and artificial baits, and a fishing licence. You will also have drinks, snacks and lunch on your trip.

Trip was enjoyable even though we were not able to land a barramundi. We accept that there are no guarantees when fishing and we did hook a couple of fish that may have been Barra. Our trip itinerary did specify that we would be picked up at 5 am and that we would be dropped back at our accomodation by approx 5 pm. We were picked up at 5:30 am and although we did not travel very far by 4wd, we were back at our accomodation by 1:30pm. We did spend 8 hours fishing so I guess that satisfies the itinerary.

Great day all around! Picked up on time, full safety briefing, great equipment! Knew the areas where the fish were, gave great instructions on what and how to catch the fish and looked after his clients
