Billy's Charter – Spear
Explore the crystal clear waters of the Seychelles with Billy’s Charter, located in the northern area of Mahe Island. Their mission is to satisfy all their clients on all their trips, so you’re sure to have a wonderful experience. Captain Billy Camille grew up fishing in the area, so he has a lifetime of experience and knows all the best places!
You’ll cruise these turquoise waters in his 39’ custom-built Bertram offshore sportfishing boat. It’s a spacious boat that can accommodate up to 8 people fishing at the same time, so feel free to bring your friends on a nice ocean adventure. There is plenty of storage and the boat is very well shaded, with a fresh water shower and an onboard toilet. It even features a fusion music system with Bluetooth to keep you entertained while waiting on the next bite!
All the fishing equipment will be on board, including Shimano rods, Wizard reels, and Penn rods and reels for jigging. You’ll mostly go for pelagic fish like Yellowfin Tuna, Bonito, Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, Sailfish, and Marlin. If the weather allows it, you can also target Jack Crevalle, Red Emperor, Grouper, and Jobfish.
Depending on what you want to do, you can spend a full day fishing and have lunch on board. You can also opt for the trip that includes snorkeling and fish-feeding and go on a local beach grill BBQ for your chance to grill your own catch! All you need to bring is some sunscreen, towels, hats, sunglasses, and swimming trunks so that you’re comfortable and so you can have fun.

Half Day Trip – Sportfishing
A perfect morning of sport fishing in the Seychelles
I realized a life long “bucket list” item today when I chartered Billy’s 39 foot boat the “Spear” for some sport fishing in the spectacular Seychelles. I had a fantastic morning and we caught plenty of fish including grouper, red snapper, bonito and wahoo. Billy and his crew were a lot of fun and made sure that this experience would be very memorable for me. They did not disappoint! The boat is equipped with high quality gear and Billy is very knowledgeable about the waters around Mahe. He knows the best fishing spots to maximize your chance of success. The nest time I return to these beautiful islands I will definitely be booking a return trip! The cherry on top of this experience was cooking a whole red snapper on a charcoal grill this evening and enjoying a delicious meal of fresh Seychelles fish with my wife - it just doesn’t get better than that. For anyone looking for a top class outfit to take you out for a day to remember I strongly recommend Billy’s Charters.

Full day Trip – Sportfishing
Full day inshore trip with captain billy
The day started off pretty slow and we spend some time searching for fish at first we tried jigging on a couple of reefs looking for a one where it would be worth stopping. Caught our biggest fish of the day (a jacks around 10 kg each). Then switched to trolling on the way to other reefs and caught around 8 bonitos and lost one wahoo but the fish weren’t too aggressive so we went back to jigging and finally hit the jackpot and were pulling out green jobfish, rosy jobfish, emperors and other fish nonstop until the very end of the trip. So it’s absolutely 10/10 the crew is great, the equipment is solid too and the boat was very clean and stable on the waves even though the sea was a bit rough. Coming back to Seychelles I’ll definitely book the trip with Billy.
