If you’re ready to try fishing in Port Canaveral, look no further than Extreme Sport Fishing. Captain Jason will be your guide, bringing aboard years of sportfishing experience.
Amberjack, Cobia, Mahi Mahi, Flounder, Goliath Grouper, Red Grouper, Scamp Grouper, Wahoo, Blackfin Tuna, Tripletail, Snook, Sailfish, and more are in the cards, depending on the season. For these species, you’re likely to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle.
Families making a day of it will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise, you should bring your own. Also, remember to bring snacks so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty stomach!
Capt. Jason welcomes you aboard a 33’ Stuart Angler center console with room for 6 passengers. It has outriggers, downriggers, and all the essentials. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. What’s more, this vessel is wheelchair accessible. Your captain will provide rods and reels, along with lures. Live bait is on offer, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.
A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. Mates often work for tips and it’s customary to offer them a 10–20% tip.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. If you don’t know what to expect, ask the captain.
Don’t leave home without a hat, sunglasses, bottled water, and sunblock (non-spray). If you’d like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Now and then the fish might get away, but a day on the water never should. Time to make it happen, with Extreme Sport Fishing!
