The Tillamook area in Oregon is rich in nature and brimming with life. Join Pacific Roots Adventures and experience some of the most productive freshwater fishing first-hand! You’ll go out on the water with Captain Kyle Uptegrove, who’s been fishing in the area for over 20 years, so you’ll surely get an authentic experience.

Get on board his 17’ Fishcraft drift boat, and explore these beautiful waters as locals do. Floating down the river is quite an experience, so bring a few friends and enjoy this great adventure together. Depending on the conditions and the size of your group, you may also fish from Capt. Kyle’s 23’ Alumaweld Columbia.

You’ll be fishing using Shimano, Daiwa, and Lamiglass rods and reels provided by Capt. Kyle. You can use either artificial lures or live bait. What you need to do yourself is buy a fishing license before the trip, which is $22 for out-of-state people. The captain will be happy to clean and fillet your catch for you to take home to the table and taste it.

Capt. Kyle can take you out on a crabbing expedition, looking for some delicious Dungeness crabs! On half and full day trips, you’ll do some spinning, drift fishing, and trolling for Salmon and Rainbow Trout. This can be a great family adventure, so feel free to bring your kids with you and spend some valuable time in nature.

Coffee will be provided for you on board, just bring some food and drinks for your refreshment. Make sure to dress appropriately, and bring warm clothes as well as rain gear.

Come join Pacific Roots Adventures and explore the rich beautiful rivers of Oregon out of Tillamook!
