We booked this trip with Captain Kyle to kick-start a birthday adventure on the Oregon coast for our 16 year old grandson, who lives in Minnesota and has shown a recent keen interest in fishing. Kyle worked hard at helping us find fish and he knows the fishery. His boat was very comfortable and the equipment is top notch. The weather was great and all 5 fisherman had a great experience. Whale mother, calf and aunt added a unique and memorable encounter to the trip.

My 13 year-old grandson and I booked this trip as part of an annual vacation. This morning, he had never caught a fish. This afternoon he is basking in the sunlight of success. :-). It was a beautiful day and a wonderful experience for us both. Captain Kyle was patient and personable. He did a great job guiding our group and engaging with us along the way. We are already talking about next year.

My son and I spent a gorgeous day in Wheeler fishing with Captain Kyle. First of all, Kyle is a super nice guy and very easy to talk to. I like to think we’d be good buds if we lived close to each other. He’s also a very knowledgeable teacher who is willing to teach and has great patience with less experienced anglers. Took my son (11) out with me on Kyle’s boat for salmon fishing in Nehalem Bay. We were paired up with another small group and had great success finding Chinook. Would highly recommend Kyle as a guide.
