Sudden Strike Offshore Adventures

Captain Scott Housel is the owner and operator of Sudden Strike Offshore Adventures LLC.  Captain Scott is a tournament-winning fisherman, who has been fishing these waters since 1989, and has his 100-ton USCG Captain’s License.

Sudden Strike is a 31’ Contender powered by twin 250hp Yamaha 4 stroke outboards and is equipped with every bell and whistle when it comes to electronics, fish finding sonar, and safety equipment.  The 31” Contender was designed by fishermen for fishermen and has developed the reputation as being one of the premier fishing platforms in the tournament fishing world.
This 31’ Contender has 2 large live wells designed to keep your bait alive and full of spunk for bottom fishing, equipped with outriggers allowing for hours of trolling, 4 fish boxes providing over 1300 quarts of fish and ice storage.  The twin 250’s allow us to get to the fishing grounds in a hurry so we spend more time fishing and less time riding.

Because Capt. Scott spends several days each week spear fishing, he can see firsthand where the fish are and what various bottom structures actually look like.  He also maintains good relationships with other commercial fishermen and captains which provides an excellent opportunity to exchange ideas and notes on recent fishing patterns.

If you are serious about fishing or would like to introduce your family to a new experience, please give us a call.  We look forward to helping you make the memories of a life time.

I started fishing when I was 5 years old. In 1989 I moved to Central Florida to attend Stetson University, became a certified scuba diver, and have been diving and fishing out of Ponce Inlet ever since. Although I have landed plenty of monsters, I now find more enjoyement helping others experience the thrill of landing the fish of a lifetime.

Scott was great put us on fish from the get go and caught many fish. He worked hard the whole day with bait and removing caught fish moving the boat back in position.we had very rough seas and he was great keeping the boat in position. He cleaned and bagged the fish. We will be back for sure. Thanks Scott for the good time. It was a very special time for my nephew Zach.

Capt Scott positioned the boat perfectly on the wrecks to keep boat roll to a minimum! I never had to touch bait as capt scott kept all our hooks loaded with fresh bait! My girls even had a great time!! Great sharing my birthday with everyone on your boat. Great birthday gift!!  I will go with him again! Mike

We had a wonderful trip with Sudden Strike charter.  Scott was very good, we caught many fish, his equipment was top of the line and he was in no rush to get us off the water.  His knowledge of the good spots to fish was great and we would recommend him to anyone, you will not be disappointed.

Thank you for your kind words and generosity.  It was greatly appreciated.  Everyone did a great job and it was probably as enjoyable for myself and Colleen as it was for you all.
