Fishing has this wonderful tendency to be both extremely calming and a total rush of adrenaline. Sudden Strike Offshore Adventures understand this really well and they'll melt your stress away with some reel-screaming action offshore!

Join Captain Scott Housel aboard his 31' Contender. She's a center console, meaning there's plenty of room to move around for you and up to 6 of your fishing buddies. You won't be sluggish, as there are twin 300 HP Suzuki engines – you can cruise at a maximum speed of 52 knots.

Capt. Scott will take you after some of the most prestigious and toughest fish off the coast of Florida. Get ready to troll for Kingfish, Sailfish, Blue Marlin, and Mahi Mahi, helped by the onboard outriggers. If you want to troll deeper waters, just use the downriggers provided as well. Anglers who prefer live bait will be happy to know that there's a live bait well onboard – your baitfish won't get floppy!

You'll also hit underwater reefs and wrecks, both natural and man-made, where Groupers and Snappers are bountiful. If you're a spearfisherman Capt. Scott will take you to red-hot waters, but that's only for advanced anglers.

The captain will supply you with all the necessary fishing gear, as well as drinks to keep your energy up. There's no minimum age for kids but parents should contact the captain in advance so he can prepare smaller vests. You are encouraged to release all Billfish, though you can keep it if you want (and if it falls within local regulations).

Book a trip and climb aboard for an unforgettable fishing excursion in the gorgeous offshore waters of Florida with Sudden Strike Offshore Adventures!

🔥 Unreal Day on the Water with Captain Scott & Travis — Nonstop Action! 🎣
Half Day – Deepwater on April 13, 20262 adults

We had an absolutely incredible trip with Captain Scott and his first mate Travis! From the moment we got out on the water, it was nonstop action. These guys know exactly what they’re doing and put us right on the fish. We caught a ton — honestly lost track of all the species — but we brought in sea bass, cobia, and even landed a massive 6-foot sand shark! That alone made the trip unforgettable. Captain Scott kept us on the fish all day, and Travis was right there every step of the way making sure everything ran smooth, helping with lines, and keeping the energy high. You can tell they both love what they do and want you to have a great experience. If you’re looking for a fun, exciting, and successful day of fishing, this is the crew you want. We’ll definitely be booking again! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

An amazing fishing day
Full Day Trip on February 13, 20262 adults

Captain Scott and his mate gave my friends and I a great fishing experience to remember. His boat was comfortable and ready for fishing. Let him know we wanted Big fish more than lots of fish. He and his mate did both for us!! First stopping point the oldest person in the group felt the need to hand the pole to his son to reel in! It was awesome! Hit a few spots that continually produced fish, the largest brought to to boat was a full grown Sand Bar Shark. Love this one due to the fact it ran the first time to the boat. Released quickly with a great video. So many snappers and one trigger fish. Took all that we kept to a local place to have them cooked up. Thank you Scott for the great day Offshore!!

Highly recommend!
Half Day Trip (PM) on April 14, 20262 adults

We caught so many fish! Scott the captain suggested that we take them to a local “hook and cook” place. We also saw sea turtles and dolphins! The captain and his mate were very helpful and had so much patience with the two of us. Two smaller sharks were hooked. One of them broke the line. The fish were also filleted and bagged for us. This is the boat and crew you want. Don’t forget your sunblock. Also there was great communication before the trip and the day of. This is a “ must do” event while visiting Florida.

5 Minnesotans, alot of fish, a little motion sickness, and a whole lot of fun!
Half Day Trip (AM) on April 2, 20264 adults2 children

I went out with three of my boys and my nephew (ages 10-19). Captain Scott and first mate Travis were awesome! We started the day with some technical difficulties, but, rather than getting frustrated or making excuses, they calmly problem solved and had us on our way in a timely manner. Even though it was a little choppier that day, they were not afraid to get us out to where they knew there would be good fishing. They kept us on fish and were proactive in moving to new locations when the bite slowed. We are all freshwater fisherman from MN and new to ocean fishing. They gave good instruction and were patient even when we mishandled some BIG ones that got away. They were even able to keep things light-hearted when members of our group got a little (or a lot) sea sick. The only suggestions that I have for improvement are that they could have been a little more assertive with their advice on pre-treating for sea sickness prevention, and could improve the beverage selection to include some electrolyte replacing options. Overall, an awesome new experience! I highly recommend Sudden Strike Offshore.

Great fishing trip, great Captain and 1st Mate
Half Day – Deepwater on March 21, 20264 adults

we had an excellent offshore fishing trip. Captain Scott and 1st Mate Travis were great. They provided all the fishing gear we needed and were great to talk with when the fishing slowed down. Communication was great leading up to the trip. Captain Scott was quick to answer my questions by text. At the end of the trip they clean and filleted all of the fish we caught. My family had a wonderful trip and would definitley book with Captain Scott and Sudden Stike again.

Angler's Choice

The Angler's Choice Award is given to listings that consistently deliver a high-quality service and earn great reviews from customers.

I started fishing when I was 5 years old. In 1989 I moved to Central Florida to attend Stetson University, became a certified scuba diver, and have been diving and fishing out of Ponce Inlet ever since. Although I have landed plenty of monsters, I now find more enjoyement helping others experience the thrill of landing the fish of a lifetime.
