Captain Jerry's Watersports
Make your time at the Cayman Islands truly memorable and go fishing with Captain Jerry's Watersports! Let Captain Jerry Ebanks take you out on the pristine local waters, where when you're not catching gorgeous fish, you can admire the views and snorkel to cool off.
Capt. Jerry has spent most of his life fishing and teaching others how to do it, so you'll be in good hands with this seasoned pro. He'll take you out on his 42' Rob Shirley center console that can fit up to 8 people on board. The 'Trinity' is much larger than most of the fishing boats in the area, which means a higher level of comfort and a smoother ride.
It sports a hard top which provides lots of shade to keep you nice and cool, and a private toilet. There's a fighting chair on board to help you wrestle potential monster catch and you'll be using top-notch Shimano and Penn equipment to reel in whatever gulped down your bait. If you want to take a break, let your guide know, and he'll give you snorkeling gear to jump into the water and relax.
What you'll fish for depends on the trip you choose. On reef excursions, you'll mostly focus on Yellowtail, Triggerfish, and Snapper species. If you book a half day deep sea trip, you'll go after Amberjack, Wahoo, and Mahi Mahi. Full day deep sea fishing expeditions are reserved for avid game fish anglers looking to hook their next Marlin and Tuna trophy catch.
Whatever option you choose, it can be adapted to your level of angling skill and age of the people in the group. Capt. Jerry loves having kids on board, and he always tries to make his charters as family-friendly as possible. These are all-inclusive packages, so drinks and snacks. It's recommended to bring sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, as well as a bathing suit and towels if you plan on snorkeling.

My husband, 13 and 10 year old sons and I went out with Captain Jerry and VJ for a 6 hour deep sea fishing trip. The boat was extremely comfortable and meticulously clean. They provided drinks and light snacks. They were great with our kids. Captain Jerry went all around looking for fish, we didn't have luck the first several hours catching anything besides barracudas (neither did any other boats that day!) but then the last hour we caught a Mahi Mahi! Captain Jerry was very accommodating and would have pivoted to snorkeling or reef fishing if we wanted to but I'm glad we stuck with it! We went to Morgan's after with our portion of the fish and had the best meal! I would highly recommend Captain Jerry for your next private charter experience!
Great set up on the boat - super clean and organized with snacks and drinks. Wifi, Bluetooth for the stereo, a sun pad up top and shade below, plus a restroom. Had 6 fish on, including barracuda, tuna, and mahi - my boys and my husband all loved it. Captain Jerry and VJ were amazing - it was a fun, relaxed day (but with plenty of action) for everyone. Took us to Stingray City on the way back and VJ hopped in the water with us to guide us while Jerry took pictures for us! This was hands down my family's favorite activity of our trip! Captain Jerry recommended Morgan's to cook our fish, and it was delicious! Can't recommend Captain Jerry enough!
Captain Jerry and his crew did an outstandng job! From introducing us to Sea Turtles Bob and Jennifer to exploring Stingray City and Starfish Island to helping our grandchild reel in a fish, Captain Jerry and crew concentrated on making beautiful memories for our family! The size of the boat was perfect for our group of 10. Highly recommend!
Great boat ... beautiful water..tastey ...as fresh as you get.fish....caught by our angler kids..VeeJay found us a barb-less stingray so we could fearlessly play with the rays ...lots of great info from Capt Jerry and alot of laughter all while grooving to Forrest Frank😃...Can't wait to do it again in September!!
Had a blast on the water with captain jerry & vj! Caught a few snapper & a grouper and were able to snorkel a bit as well. Boat is clean and comfy!
The Angler's Choice Award is given to listings that consistently deliver a high-quality service and earn great reviews from customers.
I was working with Captain Marvin's Watersports from 1994 until 2019 as a boat captain with over 25 years of experience. That allowed me to start my own business (Captain Jerry's Watersports) and do what I love best (fishing). I'm a lover of the ocean and I enjoy meeting people, especially on my charters, and talking to them about the wildlife in the Cayman Islands. I do my best so that my customers catch some fish and perhaps have a delicious meal out of it.
