Captain Rick Kelley has been fishing for over 35 years so you'll be in safe and experienced hands while exploring the waters of one of the most special places for fishing in the country – Punta Gorda! Whether it's the peace and serenity of these Florida waters or the thrill of going after a big catch that bring you here, Capt. Rick will make sure you experience why fishing in Punta Gorda is different from everywhere else to the fullest.
Capt. Rick's 24ft flats boat powered by a 200HP Yamaha engine, which can accommodate up to 4 people. Equipped with a GPS and a Fishfinder system, this boat also has a wireless trolling motor, a livewell and a toilet aboard.
While chasing speckle trout, snook, and redfish, you'll be using Daiwa or Penn reels, as well as Captain's custom-made rods, to give you a better feeling for the catch. Going after other species, such as pompano, sheepshead, mackerel and snapper is also an option, but the list doesn't end there - there's always a chance to reel in something you'd never expected to see in this fishing heaven! If you bring your own fly-fishing equipment, Captain Rick will be happy to accommodate to your preference and take you fly-fishing. The fresher live bait the better, so Capt. Rick makes sure he catches it during the trip, so you get to enjoy the experience, and the fish go crazy for fresh shrimp.
Everyone is welcome onboard, especially kids! Just make sure they are at least 5 years old, and the Captain will provide life jackets. Friends and Family Charters will also provide you with a fishing license, and if you decide to keep the catch, Capt. will clean it and fillet it for you.

Captain Rick Kelley has lived in Punta Gorda for over 35 years, so rest assured he'll be able to show you all the best spots of this angler's dream place. Captain Rick has been a captain for over 45 years, ever since 1975. His fishing story started a long time ago in Maryland, where he used to fish for fun. He always enjoyed sharing his passion, so he often took people out on his boat and showed them hwo to fish. That's when he decided he wanted to make fishing a full-time job and became a captain. Experienced, skilled, professional and, above all, accommodating - Captain Rick will do his best to make sure you have the best day on board!

How cancellations work
You can cancel or modify your booking up to 1 day before the trip date, free of charge. If you cancel or modify your booking later, or fail to show up, you'll forfeit 100% of what you've paid.

Pickup not included
Transfer to/from departure site is not included in trip rates.
How you can pay
When the captain confirms your trip, FishingBooker charges your credit card a 10% deposit to guarantee your reservation.
The remaining balance is to be paid directly to the charter operator on or prior to your trip date in one of the following payment methods:
