Northwest Fishing Adventures 23'
The Columbia River has both wild and hatchery Chinook and Steelhead migrating up the river year-round. Book a trip with Captain Herman Fleishman to give yourself the best chance of taking a few of them home for barbecues and fine dining.
He has an Alumaweld Columbia fishing boat that runs on a powerful 150 HP Mercury engine. It has a maximum cruising speed of 31 knots which means you can get yourself along the river quickly to some of Herman’s favorite fishing spots. The vessel is spacious enough for a few of your friends to join you as you aim to fill your bags with fish.
When fishing with Captain Herman on the Columbia River you will be targeting Chinook Salmon and Steelhead. Techniques such as drift and anchor fishing as well as trolling with bait will be used to tempt them to bite.
A good range of high-quality rods, reels, lures, light, and heavy tackle will be provided to ensure you have the best chance of having a successful day as possible. Additionally, Captain Herman will clean your catch for you so you can take it straight home.
Before you join Captain Herman, make sure that you get yourself a fishing license that can be purchased online. Take some drinks and snacks also, and weather-appropriate clothing depending on the season. If you’re in Portland, there’s no need to look elsewhere. Get onto the Columbia River and reel them in!

Fish weren’t biting today. Saw one fish hauled in a 1000 boats. Capt. Herman is a cool cat though. If you want a good time with a captain who will give you some tricks of the trade, this your guy.
