Moore Fishing is all about fishing the stunning waters of Oregon City. Having logged many hours on these rivers , Captain James can tell you all about them.
These waters are known for Rainbow Trout (Steelhead), and more – with any luck, you'll hook into a few! Depending on the fish you're after, you may find yourself light tackle fishing, trolling, drifting, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Capt. James is happy to have kids aboard, so go ahead and bring the whole family along! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Feel free to bring your own snacks for a boost of energy when needed!
Your boat for the day is a 18' ClackaCraft drift boat with space for 3 passengers. It has all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, along with lures. Live bait is included, but you should ask the captain whether you'll be catching it yourself.
Before coming aboard, you may need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.
It's never a bad idea to bring sunblock (non-spray), sunglasses, and bottled water. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Captain James and his crew are the best! So easy and comfortable to hang with and genuinely care about you. I was having fun even though I didn’t think we were going to catch anything. Expert fishermen who know how to hook a fish even when the odds are against us. They helped me catch a 16 pound Spring Chinook Salmon on the Columbia River while the other 30 boaters weren’t so lucky. God bless this crew. 100% recommend! Hope to fish with them again this year.

I met my wife in high school and her family owns a fishing company that inspires and educates people around the the nation (Salmon Trout Steelheader Magazine). Growing up in the industry for 18yrs and seeing how people are so passionate about fishing it is infectious. This is my goal to show the greatness, relaxation, and pure beauty of what this area has to offer and to create lifelong memories.

You can cancel or modify your booking up to 3 days before the trip date, free of charge. If you cancel or modify your booking later, or fail to show up, you'll forfeit 100% of what you've paid.

Transfer to/from departure site is not included in trip rates.

Book with 30% deposit, pay rest to captain
When the captain confirms your trip, FishingBooker charges your credit card a 30% deposit to guarantee your reservation.
The remaining balance is to be paid directly to the charter operator on or prior to your trip date in one of the following payment methods:

When paying the remaining balance with a credit card, an additional 3% charge will apply.
