Marina Sotavento – 30' 

Marina Sotavento Charters is offering all visitors coming to Puntarenas, Costa Rica an opportunity to spice up their holiday with a marine adventure! The charter offers both nearshore and offshore trips, suitable for adult anglers of various skill levels.

The captain’s vessel of choice is a 30’ Boston center console, freshly restored in 2020. It’s powered by twin, 200 HP engines, and features a wide array of gear and amenities. This includes a fighting chair, necessary for reeling in the deep sea beasts as well as a toilet and a shower.

Depending on the trip length you opt for and the fishing grounds you visit there will be different species available to you. Nearshore, this includes popular targets such as Red Snapper, King Mackerel, and Mahi Mahi, while offshore waters will add Marlin and Tuna to this list.

All the necessary gear will be provided to each guest joining in on the fun. This includes Royal rods and reels, top-notch artificial lures, and live bait. Snorkeling equipment can also be provided but only if it was requested in advance. Drinks, snacks, and sandwiches will also be provided.

At the end of your trip, you can have your catch cleaned back on the shore for a small fee. Also, feel free to bring any special food or drinks you’d like to have on the trip. Otherwise, simply pack your sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, and some weather-appropriate clothing.
