On the ink and side of Palm Harbor lies Lake Tarpon, a peaceful retreat for you to get some fishing done. Captain Bill Goudy Jr is ready to show you the waters that he loves so well and to catch some fish with you.
He welcomes you to join him on his 18’ Ranger 185vs bass boat. It was originally built in 2003 and is powered by a 175 HP Yamaha engine. It’s the ideal craft for some casual fishing out on the lake given its short size and ability to play host to a small, amicable group of people.
Largemouth Bass is the name of the game when you go fishing with Captain Bill. It’s his favorite fish to catch and they pose a fun challenge for all ages and levels of ability. Additionally, you may find yourself reeling in a couple of Crappie when you’re out with him.
He has some great fishing gear for a spot of spinning including Penn rods and Abu Garcia reels. He’ll also supply you with bottled water that’s kept chilled in his cooler. There’s more space in that cooler for you to fit in some of your own drinks and some snacks too. You’ll need to purchase a fishing license before you embark on this trip which you can do online. Be sure to take some sunglasses and sunscreen for this trip as the sun down in Florida gets really hot.

Bill’s deep knowledge of the lake and his laid-back yet professional approach made the whole experience enjoyable and stress-free. Whether you’re a seasoned angler or a first-timer, Bill ensures that everyone has a great time and leaves with a big smile.
The boat was well-maintained and the gear was top quality. We caught a variety of fish throughout the day, and Bill was always ready with helpful tips and tricks to make sure we stayed on track. The natural beauty of Lake Tarpon added another layer to the experience, making it a truly memorable trip.

Captain Bill did a great job out on the lake today. Conditions have been difficult this year because of the weather but Captain Bill found all the spots to make for a successful day. He was able to show me the way to catch more fish and bring them to the boat. I would definitely fish again with him when I am back in be the area. Definitely way more large mouth bass action than I expected. I was by my self with the captain and he put me on over 40 large mouth bass in less than 8 hours. If you are thinking about this charter book asap you won’t regret it.
