I have a lot to say about our time with Captain Bill. The short version is that Captain Bill was a joy to be around, very knowledgeable about his craft, and was helpful and patient in teaching us every step of the way. Cannot recommend him enough, by far the BEST of several guided fishing experiences I’ve had. For more specifics, please read on:

My brother-in-law and I got to spend an afternoon on Lake Lanier with Captain Bill, and we had such an amazing time. We had at least 20+ bites within the first few hours alone, and Captain Bill was incredibly helpful, fun, patient, and kind. This was our first time fishing for Striper and he taught us everything we needed to know to land a monster.

Towards the middle of our trip we were chatting about our favorite things to cook when all of the sudden BAM! Something huge hit one of the rods, and we knew we had a good fish on. Captain Bill handed my buddy the rod and coached him through the fight; a fight that would take him all the way around the boat for what felt like 15 minutes. When we finally brought the beast to the surface (fish pictured above) Captain Bill was just as excited about the behemoth striper as we were. High fiving, laughing, hootin’ and hollerin’, like a group of old friends.

Thank you, Captain Bill. You’re the man.

Took our daughter, who just received a transplant in May, out for a day of fun. FUN was an understatement! Captain Bill made sure that we all had a great time but especially made our daughter feel like the day was just for her. The boat was equipped with everything we needed. Captain Bill was extremely knowledgeable of the area and the fish. Captain Bill took us to 3 locations all had fish biting. We missed some from laughing and enjoying the moment but hey , that’s on us 😀 We left with a beautiful day of memories and even some fish. Captain Bill cleaned our fish and packaged them for us. Highly recommend this trip ! No disappointments at all! If you don’t leave with fish it’s probably because you were distracted by the pure joy and fun being made!

One of the best fishing trips I have experienced. Fish were biting in all 3 spots we stopped at, a testament to Captain Bill’s experience and knowledge. At one point, with 6 poles in the water, there was more action than the two of us could handle. I set some personal best records and achievements on this trip and we had several fist bump moments.

A fantastic conversation, from which I learned a lot…Captain Bill knows his stuff, and was happy to answer all of the questions I had. His equipment is top-notch, and I appreciated the crash course in reading a fish finder.

Most importantly, he wants those he is taking out to have the best possible chance of success. If you are patient and have a proper expectation, he will do everything he can to make it the best possible outing.

I will be booking with him for at least one more trip before the Summer is over, maybe two. :-)

I sent Bill a message before I booked, just to see if he would be into going out on memorial Day. He responded back pretty quickly saying he was good to go. We met Bill at 6:00 a.m., got some gas, got some bait and hit the boat ramp. My son and I both caught our first spotted bass, I caught a nice striper, he caught his first striper and we each had a couple of chunky catfish.

I think Bill would have stayed out there all day until we caught something, but he knew some great spots, we were marking fish almost immediately and we had a great time.

When we got back to Bill’s house he cleaned and filleted all the fish for us and I had them in the freezer, vacuum sealed as soon as I got home.

Bill was a great captain, he knew pretty much everybody that we ran into and I could not recommend him more highly. I found him by doing a Google search and he had almost all five star reviews. Well, here’s another one!

We will definitely book again!

Highly recommend this trip with Bill. I took my dad and son out for a half day of fishing and we had a blast. We caught 8 fish in about 2 hours.  5 striped bass and 3 catfish.  We had to head in early because of a storm and lightning but we had already caught enough to feed us for awhile.  Bill was very knowledgeable of the lake and had his special spots picked out. With his fancy fish finding device, we had our first 1 minute after we dropped our lines.  My son caught the first fish - a 28 inch striped bass - not bad at all!  It only got better from there!
