If you're looking for your next Florida fishing adventure, Local Knowledge of SWFL is the way to go! Captain Michael Hatcher is an experienced fisherman who's spent his life perfecting his craft. He's ready to take you to the deep waters and show you the beauty of Naples Bay, making sure you fill your bags.
You'll be heading out on the 'Sea Legs,' his 31' custom Morgan saltwater fishing boat, fully equipped with a restroom, galley, dinette, and a shaded seating area. The boat is powered by a 375 HP Volvo engine, making it fast and reliable in these waters. The vessel can accommodate up to 6 anglers per trip.
Naples Bay is a natural gem, boasting incredible views and rich wildlife. It's home to a variety of fish species, most of which are Florida's beloved game fish. You can expect to find species like Cobia, Amberjack, Barracuda, Spanish Mackerel, and King Mackerel. However, Capt. Michael main targets are different varieties of Snapper and Grouper
You don't have to worry about much, as all the fishing equipment will be ready for you on board the Sea Legs, including rods, reels, and tackle. The captain will be happy to clean and fillet your catch, so you can take it straight to the table for a delicious meal with the family upon your return home.
If you want to spend some time with your family doing a fun activity in nature, this is a great opportunity. Kids are welcome to join in on the fun, and you can teach them all about how exciting fishing can be. Mike was an amazing and charismatic captain. He met and exceeded every single expectation I had for this bachelor trip outting. My only request was to have fun and catch some fish (quite basic). Our first stop was for smaller fish to use as bait. We landed ourselves a healthy supply of assorted bait fish and even some keeper snappers! Our second stop was for our grouper keepers! We not only landed 6 keepers but we caught 12+ grouper but let the smaller ones go. Some were even 30”+. Our last stop was to catch some “trophy’s” (shark, barracuda and other large predators). We fished for a little bit before spotting a 4’+ cobia watching from a distance. We instantly switched to targeting the beautiful fish and landed it in the boat within 30 mins. 10/10 I could not recommend Mike enough to justify his hospitality and overall expertise in the fishing industry. He deserves all the 5 stars reviews he has and more!
Captain Mike was awsome. I booked a full day fishing trip for Me my wife and two 13 year old daughters. What a wonderful experience. Captain Mike was right on top of everything and put us onto amazing fishing. We caught grouper and snapper even with the weather being very hot. I would recommend Captain Mike to anyone who wants to catch fish. Thank you again for an amazing day on the water and we can't wait to go out again!

Our deep sea fishing trip with Captain Mike was hands-down one of the best experiences our family has ever had in Florida! From the moment we stepped on the boat, Captain Mike was professional, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable. He made sure everyone—from beginners to more experienced anglers—felt comfortable, confident, and excited. Captain Mike knew exactly where to take us and worked nonstop to make sure we had an amazing day on the water. We caught plenty of fish, learned a ton, and had so much fun doing it. He was patient with the kids, great at explaining techniques, and clearly passionate about what he does. The boat was clean, well-equipped, and felt very safe, which made the trip even more enjoyable. On top of that, Captain Mike’s great personality and sense of humor made the entire outing memorable. If you’re looking for an unforgettable deep sea fishing adventure in Florida, Captain Mike is the one to book. We can’t recommend him highly enough and will absolutely be back for another trip!
Booked a full day deep sea trip late December, 2025. Mike and crew were excellent. Very pleasant and professional. We went about 40-50 miles offshore and kept trying spots until we got on the grouper. Our group of four landed 6 keeper grouper (limit is 8) and 20+ keeper snapper. In addition, we caught a bunch of smaller grouper and snapper as well as several other species. Overall experience was outstanding. Highly recommend Mike and his crew. Will definitely do it again!
Mike and Dominick were great. We had a perfect day, and they went out of their way (and extra time) to maw sure we all had a wonderful day. Mike abd Domonick bith worked hard to keep us on the fish. Highly recommended!

He loves showing guests the incredible nature of western Florida and hopes to share his knowledge with everyone, as his mentors did to him.
