These waters are known for Snook, Redfish, Spotted Seatrout, Tarpon, Mangrove Snapper, Hammerhead Shark, Spanish Mackerel, Sheepshead, Blacktip Shark, and more, with any luck, it won't take long to hook into some.

During the trip you might be spinning, popping, jigging, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Capt. Robert also offers fly fishing, but you may need to bring your own fly gear.

Fish caught during the trip are yours to keep, so long as they meet regulations. Plus, you can have your catch cleaned. Make sure you have a cooler ready in the car!

Looking to get the whole family outdoors? Kids are absolutely welcome! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. And, you can't go wrong with snacks to keep up those energy levels!

You'll be dropping lines from a 24' Bay boat with room for 5 passengers. It has all the essentials no fishing machine can run without.

Rods, reels, and tackle are ready for you, along with lures. Live bait is on offer, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.

There's no need to buy a fishing license, just show up ready for some fishing! Keep in mind that you may release some fish due to regulations. If you don't know what to expect, ask the captain.

Don't leave home without sunblock (non-spray), a hat, bottled water, and sunglasses. Drinks will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

21st Birthday Fishing Trip

To celebrate my son’s 21st Birthday my wife arranged a private fishing excursion with Tarpon Magic Charters and Captain Reed. The Captain was very knowledgeable when it came to where the best fishing spots were in the area and gave us many pointers on how to perfect our fishing techniques. If the fish were not biting in a certain area or an unexpected dolphin or two show up and scare the fish away the Captain will find you another area where you are sure to catch a fish or two. Captain Reed will contact you the day before your excursion to answer any questions you might have and he supplies the bait and equipment. I highly recommend calling Tarpon Magic Charters and speak with Captain Reed to book your next fishing trip. You will not be disappointed.

Perfect Afternoon of Fishing

Fun Fishing & Sightseeing Trip on July 9, 2025 • 3 adults

Had a great time! Captain Rob took us to 4 different spots to fish and all of them were quality. He also was incredibly helpful in instructing my son to the point that he became the most successful fisherman of the day. You can really tell that he cares and was doing everything in his power to help us catch during a day where the fish weren't biting. Very friendly, very efficient and very fun. The next charter we book will definitely be with Captain Rob.

first teip with rob and have to say we all really enjoyed it. the fishing was hard with small craft advisory and dolphins around us. we were fishing with a new fisher and one very much on the autism spectrum and he really was amazing with the kids
