The TradeWinds is a premier and well-renowned charter boat in Destin, FL that takes anglers of all ages and skill levels fishing on the Emerald Coast. Fishing the 'World's Luckiest Fishing Village' aboard the TradeWinds is an experience you will not forget.
She is a huge 65' Bonner-custom walkaround, with enough of space for up to 49 passengers! Even better, all guests can fish at the same time – so get ready to indulge in some friendly competition! She was fully up-hauled in 2015 and is powered by twin 375 HP John Deer engines. The TradeWinds is outfitted with Garmin electronics with literal thousands of spots, saving time while on the hunt. Our boat is wheelchair-friendly and is furnished with all necessary safety equipment, including two 30-man liferafts.
Apart from professional accessories, the TradeWinds is a comfortable and enjoyable fishing vessel. She features a well air-conditioned cabin and 2 bathrooms, which are much-needed things when you spend your day on the water.
The TradeWinds is run by Capt. Brian Howard- a Destin native, and Capt. Larry Meyer- a talented and professional fisherman with thousands of hours of experience across several decades. They will put their knowledge and talent to work for you and will take you to the hottest spots. The deckhand(s) will assist you and work hard to make sure you have a pleasant experience. (A customary 20% tip for their effort is appreciated).
The crew specializes in bottom fishing and trolling for a variety of species, including but not limited to Red Snapper, Wahoo, Groupers, King Mackerel, Mahi Mahi, Cobia, Amberjack, and even Porbeagle, Mako, and Blue Sharks.
Whether you are looking for a fun day with family and friends or a corporate outing, a wedding, a birthday, a bachelor party, or any other event, the TradeWinds is ready for it.
All trips are private and come with rods, reels, tackle, bait, and license. When you return to shore, your catch will be cleaned at no additional cost.

We recently went on the Gulf Sampler with TradeWinds and it did not disappoint. The entire crew is top notch. From the communication before trip to even after they made sure we had what we needed. We had parents, grandparents, kiddos, auntie’s and uncle’s. They did a great job accommodating everyone and assisting while fishing. Thanks for the memories and fishing stories!

We had a blast! Really great crew - good equipment - clean and roomy boat. Good timing on abandoning spots when the fish weren’t biting to go to another spot. Excellent communication! if you have kids they help educate the kids on fish types and details of the fish - all the kids on board loved it - even the teenagers despite a few eye rolls. Excited to be back next year with this boat and this team.

From the moment our trip was bookes Justin & AJ were super friendly and accommodating. They were quick to bait a hook and drop a funny joke. our boy (15 & 13) all said they 100% want to go back next year! We hit our max of red snapper for the day.
