Well four guys four hours and only four fish is not great fishing (we did lose around 5 more fish including two Barracuda) but Alex puts in 100% effort (I don’t believe in saying 110%) to make sure you can get as many fish in the boat in an ethical manner. Not only is a fishing trip about catching but also about enjoying yourselves as well and Alex makes sure that you get a history lesson of the island and as well a lot of laughs. We also saw numerous flying fish and a pod of five Humpback Whales that he stayed a respectable distance from so as not to disturb them but we were able to appreciate their majestic beauty.
When I read the reviews prior to booking I was sceptical about all the high rankings and no low ones, I know now why the scores were higher as he does his best to make you feel welcome, appreciated and respected. Keep up the stellar work!

We caught our first fish within 10 minutes of casting. The entire experience - from booking to walking away with clean fish in our hands - was seamless. Alex was very responsive to my many questions leading up to the trip. He offered very specific driving and arrival instructions. Was very patient when I asked to go to the bathroom on land even after we loaded the boat. Most importantly, he is without question very knowledgeable about fishing patterns and shares them freely throughout the trip. We deep sea fish with a guide on all our beach vacations and this was by far the best experience we’ve had! 10 out of 10 highly recommend.

Had a blast fishing with Alex today. It was like fishing with a good friend! We was commutative and picked me up on time without hassle. Very knowledgeable of the area and species. We trolled to various bottom fishing location and caught some nice bottom fish. Most amazing thing was hooking up a HUGE Marlin!! We were both absolutely heart broken when the line broke and I lost the fish. However the few minutes fighting this unbelievable specimen and watching it jump out the water several times as it peeled line was INCREDIBLE!!

Highly recommend fishing with Alex and if I come back I’d book a trip again in a heartbeat!

Punctual, Professional and a joy to be on the water with. Captain Alex picked us up right on time, took us to the grocery store (even went in w us and showed us where what we needed was) and worked hard to give us a successfull day on the water. Alex is very knowledgable on all things in The Domincan Republic. He educated us on marine ecosystems, island history, the massive growth and development of Punta Cana, etc. Highly recommend him for an enjoyable excursion. Thanks Again Captain Alex

Over the years, I have been on dozens of guided fishing trips throughout the Caribbean Sea and Alex was one the best guides to date.  We caught several groupers and one trigger fish over the four-hour trip.  Everyone on the boat was entertained and had enough action even with the light bite that morning.  We enjoyed the fishing style and interaction with the guide, in that we had some autonomy with the gear provided.  I would definitely use Alex again if visiting Punta Cana.
