Enjoy a beautiful day out on the Gulf of Mexico or Tampa Bay with Nautical Souls Sportfishing! This area is home to many exciting fish species. So get in on the bite!

The charter is owned and operated by Captain Shane. He's born and raised in St. Petersburg, where he's been fishing his whole life. As a father of two daughters, you will see that he excels at teaching anglers of all ages. With the help of Captain Shane, you will be able to successfully land some of the most sought-after species, such as Snook, Redfish, Trout, Kingfish, and one of the greatest sportfish – Tarpon!

You will be fishing from a fully restored 2020 24' center console Morgan. It includes lots of space for landing your catch and is powered by a 250 HP Suzuki engine. There's enough room for 6 anglers to fish in comfort.

The boat is rigged with all necessary equipment including GPS, Fishfinder, bluetooth radio (connect your playlist), quality fishing rods and reels, tackle, and live bait housed in a 70 gallon bait well (a big hit for the kiddos!). Fishing licenses are provided by the captain.

The captain will also provide your fishing equipment. Everything will be ready to use before you even come on board. You only need to pack some sunscreen, snacks, and drinks for the day. You can also keep the fish you catch and it will be cleaned and filleted after the trip.

Tarpon Fishing May 24, 2026

6 Hour Trip – Tarpon Special on May 24, 2026 • 2 adults

booked a 6 hr trip with Capt Shane and he did not disappoint!! 
within 20-25 mins of getting thr baits out we were ON !! Hooked into a 5ft 100+lb Tarpon. we started off about 200yrds from
shore and the Tarpon took us for a 2 hr 2.5 mile ride out into the gulf !! 
my brothe in law fought it for 1.5 hrs and finally had to give up and hand the rod ober to me. i fought him for another 30 mims and landed him. thrill of anlifetime indeed. i highly recommend Shane for your charter needs !! Great Captain 👍😎

Tarpon Fishing in the Books!

10 Hour Trip – Tarpon Special on June 23, 2025 • 5 adults

My son researched charters in the area that focused on Tarpon fishing because he was looking more for a fight than food. Shane was absolute best captain! He spent 10-hours with four 16 year old boys and was constantly putting them on schools of Tarpon. The fish just didn’t seem to be hungry. There were 3 decent bites, but those fish know how to break free. 

Even though the day was spent hooking and losing, the brief fights with Tarpon that were experienced was worth all of it. 

I highly recommend a charter with Shane @ Nautical Souls! My Son is already wanting to plan a trip back and do it all over again.  This mama is just hoping that it’s on a cloudy day.!

Great spring fishing trip

Thanks Capt Shane for a great charter. We couldn't have asked for more - great weather, great company and lots of fish!! Thanks for your patience and for taking care of our 3 generation girls trip - grandma, mom and daughter (plus a friend). King mackerel, Spanish mackerel, trout and other bay fish plus a couple of sharks. Then we took our catch for an amazing lunch. Holy mackerel, what a day!

The best fishing trip we ever had

6 Hour Trip – Tarpon Special on June 16, 2025 • 3 adults

Captain Shane was great. If i could rate him higher i would. He deserves it. When we met he treated us like old friends. We are not experienced in fishing and he really did a great job. We did the tarpon charter. Both my boys each caught huge tarpon. He helped them in every way he could. I would recommend shane to anyone who would like to fish. First class operation and a first class person. Thanks again Shane we had a great day  we couldn't ask for more. We will definitely going fishing with him again.

Holy Mackerel!!

4 Hour Trip – Inshore on April 18, 2026 • 2 adults

Captain Shane got us on both King and Spanish Mackerels on their migration North. Worked hard to find us the hot spots and we were able to catch both species. Nice guy to talk with and clearly an experienced Captain. Will be one of my first calls when I schedule next years visit to St. Pete.
