Great Daye Fishing Charters, LLC
Join Great Daye Fishing Charters for a day of adventure in St. Augustine. Captain Tony Nesbitt is USCG certified and insured, with more than 30 years of fishing and boating experience.
Growing up on the Crystal Coast of North Carolina, Tony spent a lot of his time on the water. Whether fishing with friends or enjoying time with his family at the sand bar, if Tony was on the water, he was happy. Since joining the U.S. Navy in 2005 and now with a family of his own, little has changed and the enjoyment of being on the water has only grown as he passes the knowledge, fun, and love of the water onto his daughter.
You'll be fishing on a 2022, 24' Pair Marine Custom that can accommodate up to 4 anglers. This bay boat is powered by a 300 HP Suzuki engine and reaches speeds in excess of 50 MPH if necessary.
The trips are split between inshore and offshore fishing. Every change in the seasons can bring different styles for any angler. When it comes to inshore, the winter and early spring months are great, where you get to stalk schooling Redfish in the cool clearer water with both hard and soft artificial baits. In the late summer, the Flounder fishing picks up, which can make for an exciting time in the creeks and around the docks.
Wintertime is also a great time to head offshore for Cobia, Wahoo, and other pelagics. In the spring, Cobia make their migration north close to the beach, which can produce some exciting sight fishing. Additionally, the Spanish and King Mackerel start to show up on the nearshore reefs and wrecks.
Like most anglers here in NE Florida, Capt. Tony tailors what style of fishing he's going to do based on the weather and the local conditions.
Capt. Tony looks forward to discussing your favorite style of fishing and helping get you on the species you prefer to target. Book your trip with Great Daye Fishing Charters!

It was a windy, somewhat rainy, day for our inshore trip. Captain Tony took us to spots where the fish should be with no luck. Towards the end of our trip he took us to a spot where we caught several Black Sea Bass and two small sharks. We finished our trip near the Bridge of Lions where we caught a large Sheeps Head. To me there us no bad fishing day when you can fish with you son. Captain Tony was great, and I highly recommend his charter.

We definitely delt with some nasty weather this week. I appreciate y’all’s patiences through some tough fishing conditions. Hope you and the family enjoyed your stay here.
Took my dad fishing for his 65th bday and we had the BEST time!! Tony is great and got us on some great catches. We caught a stingray, nurse shark, red fish, and a sea bass. 10/10 recommend. Tony even suggested a great lunch spot which we thoroughly enjoyed!

Happy Birthday!!!!!! What a fun morning that was! cant wait to have yall on board again soon.
Capt. Tony is great! He is quick to communicate, knowledgeable of the area and all the fish, and works hard to make sure someone catches a fish! I would recommend to anyone wanting to go fishing in St. Augustine.

Beautiful day on the water! thank you guys for another fun trip!
We had an excellent morning, everyone caught several fish and even one shark! It was a great first time experience for everyone on board—we will definitely be back for more in future visits.

What a fun morning that was! Thank you all for spending the morning with me. Looking forward to seeing yall again.

Thank you for the review Kristopher. looking forward to seeing you again soon.
Growing up in eastern North Carolina, I spent most of my time on the water learning to fish from my grandfather. Many years later and now that I am approaching the end of my Navy career, I have decided to help share my love for fishing and boating to you. One thing that brings me a lot of enjoyment is seeing others catch a fish of a lifetime followed by the biggest smiling faces and memories that will last a lifetime. I look forward to helping you make those memories.
