Great Daye Fishing Charters, LLC
Join Great Daye Fishing Charters for a day of adventure in St. Augustine. Captain Tony Nesbitt is USCG certified and insured, with more than 30 years of fishing and boating experience.
Growing up on the Crystal Coast of North Carolina, Tony spent a lot of his time on the water. Whether fishing with friends or enjoying time with his family at the sand bar, if Tony was on the water, he was happy. Since joining the U.S. Navy in 2005 and now with a family of his own, little has changed and the enjoyment of being on the water has only grown as he passes the knowledge, fun, and love of the water onto his daughter.
You’ll be fishing on a 2022, 24’ Pair Marine Custom that can accommodate up to 4 anglers. This bay boat is powered by a 300 HP Suzuki engine and reaches speeds in excess of 50 MPH if necessary.
The trips are split between inshore and offshore fishing. Every change in the seasons can bring different styles for any angler. When it comes to inshore, the winter and early spring months are great, where you get to stalk schooling Redfish in the cool clearer water with both hard and soft artificial baits. In the late summer, the Flounder fishing picks up, which can make for an exciting time in the creeks and around the docks.
Wintertime is also a great time to head offshore for Cobia, Wahoo, and other pelagics. In the spring, Cobia make their migration north close to the beach, which can produce some exciting sight fishing. Additionally, the Spanish and King Mackerel start to show up on the nearshore reefs and wrecks.
Like most anglers here in NE Florida, Capt. Tony tailors what style of fishing he’s going to do based on the weather and the local conditions.
Capt. Tony looks forward to discussing your favorite style of fishing and helping get you on the species you prefer to target. Book your trip with Great Daye Fishing Charters!
