Wicked Voodoo Guide Service is a fishing charter that operates out of Port O'Connor year round. Captain Doug has been fishing in the area for the past 18 years and 3 years ago decided to start his own charter business.
You'll be fishing on a 23ft Shoalwater that's washed and spotless cleaned after each trip. There's enough room for 4 anglers to join and fish at the same spot, so you don't have to wait for your turn. The boat is powered by a 300 Suzuki engine and features the latest navigational electronics.
You can choose between a boat or a wade fishing trip. Most of the time, Capt. Doug will take you explore shallow flats and backcountry, using either live bait or artificial lures. Choose between a half day and a full day trip and start reeling them in! You're most likely catching Redfish, Flounder, Trout, and Black Drum. You get to keep the fish you catch with the exception of larger breeder fish - they are being released.
The captain will prepare all of your fishing equipment to ensure a productive trip. You'll need to prepare your fishing license and pack some snacks and drinks for the day.

Morning trip with Captain Adam

We originally booked with Doug, but a storm was coming so we rescheduled for a later date with Adam. No issues with rescheduling, whatsoever.
Had a great time with Adam.
Had my wife, son, and dad with me. Captain Adam was fantastic. He helped my wife and son with everything. Hell, he even did most of the work for us, even though we were ready and willing. I didn’t have to do anything, but fish.
Even taught us all a few things.
We got to our first spot, he set my wife up and she was fishing. Before I got my line in the water, she was reeling in her first catch. And it was nonstop from there.
He was going between grabbing caught fish, to setting up the next rod, to doing them both at the same time. By the time he came to net one catch, he had new bait already in his hand to get you fishing again.
Highly recommend, and we will be booking again.

I had a great time with y’all, your wife is to funny with her 19.75 reds and wanting to keep everything. Y’all by far have the best behaved and well mannered kid that has been on the boat with me not saying the other kids have been bad by no means!!! I would love to have y’all again anytime. Family Fishing Trip

What a day! Mother Nature made it a really tough morning for our trip. Doug made our safety top priority and delayed our start time till we thought the storm and lightning had passed. Once out in the water another big cell with lots of lightning came in and forced us to return to the dock. We had the morning time slot and since the delay Doug work very hard to put on some fish. We fished till 1500 and everyone on the boat either caught their biggest fish or first species of fish. Thank you Captain Pappi for your hard work and dedication. We will have these memories for a lifetime. We will be back.

We spent the first day on the boat, scouting potential areas to wade for the following day, but also I directed all my questions about boating, navigating in the bay, fishing saltwater, etc to Doug in which he provided super helpful answers/advice that I'll carry with me for when I get a bay boat of my own! I told Captain Doug my size, he got me set up in a pair of waiters, and low and behold we were smacking them reds! One of the best trips I've been on and it couldn't have been that way without Doug. Super cool, very friendly, and knows where the fish are at! Can't wait to come back to Port O'Connor and get back out there with Wicked Voodoo! Thank you, Captain Doug and Captain Adam for making the trip awesome!

Great time with Captain Doug today, we made the last minute decision to book a trip and he was more than accommodating. Very knowledgeable of the area, I learned some history, we had a limit of reds in no time and we were on the hunt for black drum and sheepshead, he took us to several spots during our trip and he definitely earned his keep 😁 or ours..we will definitely use his service again, and we learned something new....who knew you could eat the throats of a redfish, they do look pretty meaty and we are gonna find out, thanks Cpt Doug!
