Treat yourself with a great day of fishing and visit some of the best fishing grounds in North Carolina. Based in Swansboro, NC, Reel Obsession Fishing Charters and Captain Ryan Dolph invite you to join them on inshore and nearshore trips and enjoy yourself on the water.
You'll fish on a restored 22' Blackjack flats boat powered by a 250 HP Yamaha engine, with the maximum speed of 55 knots. Up to 6 persons can be on board. The boat features GPS and fishfinder systems, a wireless trolling motor, and a livewell.
Using light tackle, you and Captain Ryan will target Black Drum, Spanish Mackerel, Speckled Trout, Redfish, and some other species. You'll be bottom fishing, jigging, and popping. You can keep all the fish you catch and the captain will clean and fillet it for you free of charge. Or, if you prefer, you can return the fish to the sea. Kids are welcome on these trips, so bring them along as well and have a great time with your family.
The charters will provide you with all the fishing gear, meaning rods, reels, terminal tackle, live bait, and lures. You're also covered with fishing licenses, so there's nothing you'll need apart from some snacks and drinks perhaps.

Captian Ryan suggested we go the next day earlier in the day. The weather on Saturday was cold and rainy, on Sunday it was cold and sun shinning. Captain Ryan still made it happen and we still caught a some keeper Red fish.

First time fishing for redfish and my son caught a bull red that we released. We then caught 2 slot reds and the captain even told us how to prepare them. Wonderful trip - will go out with Ryan again and would recommend anybody else do the same.

The trip was in August when ii was really hot. Ryan was able to find the fish in the right spot. We got cooled off by a rather large rain downpour for several minutes. It was cooling and refreshing but we got soaked. We got our limit of red fish. Anticipating some good eating later.
