Galapagos Eco Fishing
Galapagos Eco Fishing and Captain Francis Zavala welcome you to Ecuador! Come to Puerto Baquerizo Moreno and join them in exploring various offshore destinations while you catch many interesting fish species. The grounds in this area are productive and the marine life is diverse, so come aboard and have a top-class fishing experience with your loved ones.
Your journey will start on a 35' locally made angler boat that can sit up to 4 guests. Thanks to its twin 300 HP Suzuki engine, quality GPS and fishfinder technology, as well as the skillful captain, it won't be long before you get to the fish. The boat's got a private toilet you can use, and an ice-box to store your drinks and fish.
There's a variety of fishing styles you can use to catch fish on your trip. You can bottom fish, deep sea fish, troll, spin, jig, and pop, all using heavy tackle. There's also an excellent choice of fish to target. There are various types of Marlin, Tuna, and Amberjack, then there is Wahoo, Mahi Mahi, and Bonito, just to name some of the species. You're allowed to release the fish you catch back to the water.
Captain Francis will cover you for everything you'll need for the trip except for fishing licenses. He'll supply you with rods, reels, tackle, lures, as well as snacks and drinks. He can also arrange with the locals to prepare you a delicious lunch.

The captain, crew, and naturalist on the Coyote got along well together and with us, they are friendly, skilled, and informative. On the way out to the spot, the naturalist pointed out all kinds of wildlife and geological features along the way, like mobula rays, tortoises, birds and erosion patterns of different kinds of rock. We went on the 'Pesca Chica' trip but the 6 wahoo my friend and I caught were not small at all. We ate our fill of Galapagos-style Wahoo Sashimi and the pack lunch was tasty too. If I get to be on their boat in future, I might see if I can request my pack lunch to be the same as the crew were having, which appeared to be breakfast with rice and and an egg. It looked really good.

Since I was a boy in Montana I dreamt of catching 1 marlin. It was a romantic dream of the sea. After a few tries around the world I'd caught wahoo, mahi mahi and many fish, but never a marlin. One day with Cpt Francis and I caught 8, landed 5, the last one being 4 meters, 280 kg! Wow a 600+ lb fish, over 3000 lbs of marlin for the day. What a great experience with Francis & Co. Oh, sheesh, I'll try to add the photos, but the big fish rose 7 or 8 times, dancing across the ocean over and over again. It was truly the classic image of the great bill fish.
