You'll be fishing on a Bertram 35ft boat that accommodates up to 8 guests. She's powered by twin 300 HP Yamaha engines and reaches a maximum speed of 25 knots. Besides modern navigational electronics, stabilizer Seakeeper, and safety gear, the boat also features a cooler and snorkeling gear. For your exclusive comfort, we have a toilet available on board. It's hard to resist the temptation of jumping into this beautiful water, so the captain makes sure you have the equipment for an even better experience.
There are all kinds of nearshore and offshore species you can go after, depending on the season, such as Red Snapper, Wahoo, Almaco Jack, Mahi Mahi, Tuna, and more. Mostly we do trolling, but on special reques,t we can do bottom fishing to get a chance for all species and see which technique you prefer. You can release the catch or share it with the crew.
All fishing equipment and water are included in the price. You'll need your sun protection. It's recommended to take your medicine before you start the trip in case you get seasick.

We each had a chance to reel in a catch but unfortunately only got one into the boat. We end up with a 15-17lb Mahi Mahi that we split with the crew which was more than enough for me to make lunch for my boys, wife and I. Daniel and Ashton did a great job taking care of three novice fishermen. A great memory for me with my boys.

Half Day Trip (AM) on November 15, 2023 • 2 adultsAny day on the water is an amazing day! Jimmy, a.k.a. Captain Kirk made the trip! We didn’t catch many fish, but we caught some! And I caught the teeniest, tiniest, tuna, I’ve ever seen in my life. My husband was lucky enough to reel in a pretty big barracuda. And another one he was reeling in got chomped in half by a shark😱 it was a hot sunny day… but in November, who can complain? Jimmy was an awesome captain, and kept us entertained with his stories and anecdotes. If I caught nothing, I still would have been happy. That is a good day! If you are ever in Saint Maarten looking to go on a fishing trip, I would recommend using Captain James Kirk at Billy Bones fishing charters. I was able to book him through a website called FishingBooker. We will see you again next year Captain Kirk!

Great company to fish with! We fished half day and landed two Mahi. The crew put a lot of effort in to get us on fish. i would definitely fish with them again!!!

You can cancel or modify your booking up to 3 days before the trip date, free of charge. If you cancel or modify your booking later, or fail to show up, you'll forfeit 100% of what you've paid.

When the captain confirms your trip, FishingBooker charges your credit card a 15% deposit to guarantee your reservation.
The remaining balance is to be paid directly to the charter operator on or prior to your trip date in one of the following payment methods:
